After breakfast, Tara Summer and Fiona Schmidt took a car to the First Military District Hospital to visit Emily Stone.

The two chatted all the way in the car, as if they had been friends for many years.

Upon reaching the hospital, they went straight to the ward, with the butler following quietly behind them.

The VIP ward on the top floor of the general department was decorated like a hotel suite, lavishly furnished and fully equipped. Entering it felt comfortable and not at all like a hospital ward.

Outside the ward, there were many bodyguards standing, and Fiona knew that these bodyguards were actually special forces soldiers from her brother's unit.

The butler did not go in, opting to stay outside the ward on guard.

Fiona entered the ward and saw Emily lying on the bed full of tubes; her eyes immediately reddened.

Emily's small face was pale and haggard, a stark contrast to how she had looked the last time Fiona saw her, like a lifeless porcelain doll.
