He critically evaluated Liam Yancey's cold face and sighed, "I presume Master Liam wouldn't want a child impaired by poor health to come into this world, right? Even if the Yancey Family can sustain him (or her) for a lifetime, providing a life without worry for food and clothing, the pain will rest on the adults...."
Liam Yancey kept a stern face, falling silent. He tightly clenched his fists, his previous joy all but dissipated, replaced by immense agony.
His heart, as if being stripped open, he looked towards the large bed, only to startlingly discover that Tara Summer has woken up at some unknown point in time.
"You're awake..." The man's heart sank, he hastily strode to the side of the bed, staring at the woman's vacant little face, "Tara?"
He wasn't sure how much she had heard, but her facial expression suggested that she had probably caught some of it.
"Tara? ..." He called out again, his right hand reaching out to touch her cheek.
