The phone call came from Old Lagan. Before Liam Yancey left Night City, he'd asked him to frequently check on the condition of the two dragon beasts in the secret chamber.

Only two days after Liam Yancey had left, Old Lagan noticed that the two Dragon Beasts were acting strangely. Bartholomew, who was usually standing, had also slumped onto the ground. Both Dragon Beasts appeared sluggish and ill.
