"How...?"
"You told me how. I just followed your instructions and used light magic." I cleaned up all the darkness and survived, because of the light magic.
"My father made those... No beginner can have more power than my dad." So that is the one the girl stole it from.
"Maybe one of the other Reubens did that... I never used light magic before." Though I had to open my gate, so that's weird.
"Other... Reubens...?" The pink haired girl looked confused. It was clear she hadn't heard about it before.
"I have multiple personalisaties. That's what doctor Bluebeard said anyway."
"You mean doctor Moisturizer?"
"Yea... that guy."
"But... you can only use light magic when you have good intensions." The girl seemed calmer than before. The confusion probably gave her some distraction.
"Well... Mister hand... Martin would be sad if I died. He sounded really worried about what happened. So I thought it would help him. I don't want to make him cry." 𝘏𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦.
"Is that so..." the girl looked down at the floor. "I... I screwed up... again... I'm Katelyn the screw up." 𝘚𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦.
"And..." There was a second reason.
"..." Katelyn looked back up to me.
"What do you mean... I failed! I failed to kill a demon! I screwed up!!" Katelyn started to cry.
"You don't look like the type that kills people. You couldn't live with yourself anymore, besides you will be blamed for killing me. Your life would be over."
"Why would you care?! I tried to kill you twice! You... you are a demon! Why would you care?!" Katelyn started to bring her hands to her face to wipe off the tears.
"Stop calling me a demon!! They are scars!! You should be thankful!! What did I ever do wrong to you?! I saved you, because one of my brothers probably likes you! That's why you laid next to me right? You loved my brother... I don't know him... but I don't want to ruin his girlfriend. Why aren't you just thankful..." I screamed to Katelyn. I was angry and sad at the same time. 𝘐 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘺 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦.

I started to feel dizzy. "Why do I feel so dizzy?"
"Are you alright? You probably used to much magic." At least she was worried now.
"I'm fine... When are you gonna apologize?"
"I-I'm so..."

"Look who's back!" The first thing I heard when I woke up was doctor Bluebeard's voice.
"Are you okay Reuben?" Martin really cared about me for some reason.
"I... I'm fine" 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘐 𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘒𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺𝘯'𝘴. 𝘐 𝘴𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦.
"You should thank Katelyn about this young one. She healed you and now you're back to your strength," doctor Bluebeard said. Katelyn did it. She healed me. She felt guilty after all.
"Where is she?"
"Our new light user is just doing her job in the waiting room." Doctor Bluebeard looked proudly as if he was the one who strengthen me.
"Does this mean I can go out of bed?"
"Yes Reuben you may." Doctor Bluebeard gave me permission to move again and immediately stood up.
I ran in my blue patient outfit out of the room. I ran to Katelyn waiting behind her desk. "Katelyn!"
"huh?" Katelyn turned her gaze at me.
"Thank you!!" I waved with two hands to her.
"Y-your welcome..." She looked shocked as if this was the first time someone thanked her.
I ran to her and gave her a hug. "Don't tell my brother I hugged you. I don't wanna make him jealous."
"I won't... Doctor Moisturizer told me everything about you thing... I kept my mouth shut about that your a demon... Maybe the demons changed after a millennium."
"Stop calling me a demon! It are scars!"
"Demon scars yes. Maybe your loss of horns made you a good person." Katelyn did not change her mind.
"Whatever, what do you mean with millennium anyway?
"Not many people know. Some people think it is just a fairytale. It is said that The Six Great Mages of Polyhymnia from a millennium ago killed all the demons of Polyhymnia. People say it is bullshit. They say they made it up to better the name from The Six Great Mages."
At my old house we had books about The Six Great Mages of Polyhymnia. However The Six Great Mages she was talking about where the ones from a decade ago. I did not know that The Great Mages were already a thing back then.
"Demon or no demon you still saved me... Thank you." Katelyn finally thanked me.
"Well you strengthen me, so I guess we're even."
"After I got you in the hospital myself..." Katelyn looked down.
"Man up. Light magic is rare right? We need you Katelyn. You are special!"
"You could use light magic to. It was high level as well. You are the special one."
"But I'm no doctor and I never will be. Martin is special, because he cooks good. Doctor Blue... Moisturizer is special, because he healed a dying person. You are special, becaus you're the only light doctor in the village and because you healed me. Even if you don't think you're special, I will always believe that you're special! I really should stop before my brother will suspect me from cheating, hehe..."
"..." Katelyn did not know how to respond.
"Be proud of yourself Katelyn. Not everyone can do what you can."
"What about you..."
"What about me..."
"What makes you special?"
"Me... special...? I have six brothers I never met before, but I'm sure they are awesome!"
"You are doging the question..." 𝘈𝘮 𝘐...? 𝘐 𝘢𝘮...
"Hey Reuben are you to go home. I still have to show you around." It was Martin who interrupted us.
"Alright I will join you! Thank you doctor!"
"No problem! The green hair suits you!"
"Thanks!" I followed Martin to the exit.
"Wait!" Katelyn ran to me holding something in her hands. "I bought this for you..." It was was a ring with angel wings in the middle was a green stone. It looked very expensive.
"How much did this cost?"
"600 silver pieces. It is made by the dwarvens of Eastern Vloricus."
"I-I can't except this..." I showed both hand palms out of rejection, but she pressed it in my hand.
"Reuben... You maybe a demon, but you are my angel... You are special!" Katelyn said and ran back to her desk.
"Are you coming Reuben?!" Martin called me again.
"Coming!"
