Chapter 54: Regret

Her heart felt like someone lanced at it. His words struck her. Adrian was right. He was not like that before he died. He was the kindest man she had ever met.

Thane squeezed her hand and when she looked at him, he nodded and pinched her gently on the chin. Her doubts suddenly disappeared.

She wanted to be happy so she resurrected the only man she thought she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. She had never expected to find her mate after turning back the time.

"As I said, I'm sorry. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize for what I did to you. I don't regret using my powers to turn back the time, but I regret resurrecting you." She said.

Adrian smirked. "You're one good liar. You told me you asked for help from someone. Now you're saying you did it. You're a demon. If my hands were not tied, I may have killed you already."
