Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Hanging On

I roll over onto my back in bed so I can stare at the ceiling. My mind is off to the races thinking about the moments Felix and I just shared. Every part of me is buzzing, vibrating beyond my control, at the thought of his touch.

It’s like I can still feel exactly where his hand was pressed against my side. The way his lips brushed against the ridge of my jaw is seared into my brain. He dared to push a little further this time, but always maintained his respect for me.

In a way, I wasn’t entirely sure if his stopping out of respect and honor was a barrier I needed to break or a boundary I needed to appreciate. Whatever the case, I cherished it for the time being. Any time with him was a gift, and I intended to keep it that way.
