Chapter 20: Chapter 20: NO

The next hour is a physical and emotionally tense whirlwind.

The three members of The Pack pull Felix outside of the building and over to the medical team that arrives to run a few quick blood tests to see what his Lycanthropy levels are. While we wait for the results, the police usher me off to the side and pull an orange blanket over my shoulders for shock which they think I’m in.

After a few minutes, a few other officers come over and question me with the classics.

“What did you think you were doing?”

“Why did you go inside?”

“Do you know how much danger you were in?”

“Did he hurt you?”

“Do you want to file a Lycan endangerment report?”

I answer everything with the utmost confidence.

“I went inside to help my friend.”

“He needed my help, and I’d do anything to help him.”

“No, I wasn’t in any danger. If I were in danger, he would have attacked me.”

“No, he didn’t hurt me. He wouldn’t hurt me. You don’t know him as I do.”
