Thea’s POV
The walls of the small cabin feel like they're closing in on me as I pace the living room, my steps echoing in the quiet space. The encounter with the Alpha near the Gamma's home has left a lingering unease that refuses to dissipate. I had hurried back to Emma's, unable to shake the feeling of impending danger, but when Emma's questions grew too probing, I decided to retreat to the cabin in the woods.
I glance out of the window, my gaze searching the moonlit forest beyond. The shadows play tricks on my senses, and every rustle in the wind sends a shiver down my spine. The air is heavy with anticipation, and I find myself yearning for the comfort of Hudson's presence.
The decision to wait in the cabin, away from Emma's inquisitive eyes, was driven by a need to protect her. The less she knows, the safer she remains. I requested Emma to send Hudson over when he returns from his shift at the lumber yard, hoping he can shed light on the unsettling encounter with the Alpha.
