Remi’s POV

“So, this is your secret hideaway, huh?” I ask as Manny hands over our drinks, and we walk over to one of the many empty tables for a little more privacy.

“Yep,” Gray responds and takes a long sip of his drink. “Manny was kind enough to let me rent out the space for an hour tonight to unwind after the concert.”

“Do you do that often?” I ask and take a sip of my drink. My throat tightens as the liquor burns on the way down, but the relish the feeling, nevertheless.

Gray shrugs and tilts his head to the side, eyeing me carefully. “I don’t rent this place out for myself, no. But I had a feeling I would be joined by a guest, so I made sure to secure as much privacy as I could.”

Warmth spreads across my cheeks and I attempt to use my hair to hide the redness as I look down at my lap. “Well, I’m grateful that you brought me here. This place is stunning.”
