"So, you didn't believe what Oswald said before?"

"What did he say?" Qiao Jing carefully put Qiao Yue on the bed before he stood up straight and looked at her.

"The part where he said that I'm a girl." Qiao Yue tried hard to sound natural.

"I didn't believe it." Qiao Jing answered firmly.

His unyielding attitude confused Qiao Yue.

"Why?" Qiao Yue asked.

"I've personally read your genetic report. I would know if you're a girl." Qiao Jing lied through his teeth.

He, of course, knew that Qiao Yue was a girl. He was also shocked when he found out. But when he came to his senses, he felt more heartache than surprise for Qiao Yue.

He was curious as to why Qiao Yue would hide her gender and everything about her. However, he didn't want to force Qiao Yue to tell him the reason.

Qiao Yue was an adult. She must have her own thoughts and reasons for doing things. Not everything must go according to his thoughts.
