Chapter 259: The gathered commoners

But today, while the nobles were still arguing about the same thing, a shocking news forced them to turn their heads away from the delicious piece of pie in front of them.

"Your Majesty, there is a group of commoners rebelling!"

The messenger's panicked voice stilled every other conversation in the room. Every noble turned their heads towards the poor fellow and glared at him.

"What?" someone asked, bringing about a cascade of irate orders and questions.

"Explain yourself!"

"How are they rebelling?!"

"How did they escape?"

"How dare they rebel?!"

"Those bastards dare?!"

It was just like before, everyone trying to talk over each other. 

"Order!" the Sovereign's voice boomed through the room, finally silencing everyone for good.

"Explain the situation," he then ordered the messenger.

The man, despite looking terribly nervous, quickly describe the situation without pause.
