Chapter 80: Young adult years

She didn't know how it started, but she was getting deadly tired of everything. Everything seemed like a chore and she was growing more and more hateful of the things she was forced to do. 

But her strange sense of loyalty never allowed her to refuse the requests of others. Unless it was something much too important like a marriage offer, Eliseline tried her best to help others. There was a part of her that wanted to believe that karma was out there somewhere and that one day, she will be rewarded for her efforts. 

Hence she was extremely busy during the whole succession ordeal. When Frejanna came to the duchy, she started using Eliseline for all sorts of things, mostly paperwork that Frejanna piled up. 

Her eldest sister would claim that she was busy with Sylvester, meeting the other nobles and whatever else that needed attending.

Back then, Eliseline did not question things. Since she could do it, she just said yes.
