His expression showed how surprised he was, however what baffled me was the fact that he was that surprised.

There was nothing to be surprised about in what I just said.

I have not given it a thought.

I have been to busy to think about it thanks to Challan and Kar'rie.

"I have just been kind of busy"

His eyes furtherly widened, 

"You have been busy?"

At this point I was beginning to get very careful with my response because he was beginning to make it sound like a big deal.

"Perhaps you know not of how magnificent this position is, three dragons and even the scaleless dragon are fighting for that position and you have no time to think about it?"
