Selection II

 The hall felt more cozy and crowded than before, nobles gathered in line after line and in fancy and shining attires. However, no matter how fancy, none was worth the comparison with the princes as they tenderly made their way into the hall and to the front row. After then the imperial clerk announced the appearance of the Emperor. 

 They all bowed their heads as the Emperor walked slowly, with his shoulder cape so long that it almost covered the entire rug.

 They raised their heads after he sat on the throne and there was silence for a few seconds until the imperial secretary walked to the front of the Emperor bowed and faced the throne room. 

 "Today, the fifteenth day of the fourth month of the year. The imperial selection meeting shall start." He bowed to the nobles and turned to the Emperor bowed and walked away.
