Chapter 2: Transfer
The young maiden continued to sleep; unaware that there were divine beings in her sanctuary.
Gliding gracefully to where the maiden slept. Dalnim took hold of the bag that was hanging from the maiden's shoulders and tucked it behind the head of the maiden and turned her so that she was now lying on her back.
The man held the golden egg on his palm while wearing an expression akin to indifference.
Pearl teardrops from the otherworldly woman fell on the blanket that rested across the chest of the maiden.
In slow motion; Dalnim reached for one of the intricate gold hair pins that peppered her shimmering red hair. She brought the hairpin close to her mouth and whispered.
[Ancient Incantations]
The woman then placed the gold hairpin on one edge of the blanket.
Dalnim, "Mireuk, it is time."
The soft voice of the woman jolted the man from his state of detachment.
The man covered the distance in no time and was met by the woman who straightened up when she saw the man had appeared.
A blue glow sprung out of the palms of Dalnim forming tiny orbs; they wrapped themselves around the golden egg and as this occurred the golden egg began to pulse as though it had a heartbeat.
[Bum Bum Bum]
Mireuk, "The human is surely a powerful shaman; her spiritual energy is already forming a link with Yuhwa. We must make haste before she becomes aware of our intentions."
Dalnim, "Our Yuhwa's fate rests with this human birthing her. If anything were to go wrong…"
"Nothing will harm Yuhwa, she has our blood flowing through her. The human's influence is to keep Seokga away until Yuhwa can safely come home to us," said Mireuk in a commanding tone.
The woman gave a nod as the blue orbs lifted the golden egg from the man's palm and started making its way downwards aiming for the abdomen of the maiden.
Just as the golden egg came close to the blanket on the maiden's abdomen; a great disturbance occurred. Huge waves of bright green spiritual energy pushed back against the glowing golden egg.
Dalnim, "Mireuk! The human is waking up!"
Mireuk, "Leave it to me, don't let go of Yuhwa."
In a blink of an eye the man's black hair with white stripes turned all white and his blue eyes flashed as though they held burning blue fires in their depth.
The man's eyes blazed with burning blue flames as his wide spread arms sent jets of concentrated spiritual energy to the shaman's antagonistic waves.
Trashing on the dirt floor the maiden's face contorted in pain; her forehead began to show beads of sweat as her body strained against the backlash from the outside spiritual force.
The man's spiritual energy smacked that of the shaman's and the two collided, sending echoes of vibrations in the hut.
Dalnim, "Mireuk….the human could be harmed if we continue to resist her."
Dalnim saw the face of the maiden grimacing as though she was experiencing unimaginable pain.
