Chapter 168: Reaching Out

Hugo was confused with Hendrix's reaction. Hendrix was frozen in his place. His whole body was unmoving as if he had realized something important.

Hendrix's eyes turned into Hugo. "Can you call Ella tomorrow?" he asked him.

Hendrix knew that if it was him who invited Ella over, then she would immediately say no. However, he was for sure that it would not be the same case with Hugo.

He could see the adoration in Ella's eyes. She will have a hard time saying no to Hugo.

"Can't you do that on your own? It's not like you haven't met her before." Hugo's forehead creased with Hendrix's request.

It was odd for him to see that Hendrix looked very interested with Ella.

Hendrix shook his head. "You know what happened to us right? She will instantly say no to me."

A loud sigh escaped from Hugo's lips. He was staring at Hendrix, weighing down if he should do his request. When he saw that Hendrix looked troubled and anxious, he slowly nodded his head.
