Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Mid Year Evaluations

Sighing, I sat at my desk as I watched the last of the students exit the Academy building, everyone laughing and chatting as they made their way home.

Sadly for us teachers, today wasn't as much as a celebration as it was for the kids.

They just had their Mid Year tests, and now I needed to grade them before going to meet with Kurenai and Iruka, where we would discuss the overall performance of the students before giving them a final, overall grade.

Then we would need to write a report on the bottom students and devise a way to help improve their performance, if it was lacking.

This was also, according to Kurenai, the hardest part of being a teacher; the late night spent combing through statistics as we decided the future of young students.

After all, there was no reason to keep wasting resources on a lost cause and keep them inside this Academy when it was clear they weren't cut out for this lifestyle.

However, knowing that you were crushing a child's dream was a harsh burden to bear, and I sighed as I began to look over the girls reports from the Taijutsu class.

I had kept notes from the tournament we held, writing down where they ranked, strengths, weaknesses, and more.

Relying on those notes and my memory, I began to rank them from worst to best, sighing in relief as I realized that the girls were all safe.

While Midori and Kasumi were by far the weakest in the class, they still performed admirably, and they displayed potential in different fields.

The green haired bespectacled girl had continued to cultivate her knowledge of herbs and medicines, displaying a desire to become a healer in the future.

We could always use more Medic-nin, and she had the skills needed to look after herself, at least if she kept up this trajectory in the future.

As for Kasumi, the orange haired girl had an eye for precision, and she had shown interest in seals recently; if that side could be nurtured, we could have another sealer in our ranks soon, and that was another desperately needed position.

With the others, they all comfortably ranked in the middle of the overall class, with only three scoring high in Taijutsu.

Of course there was Ami, her recent 'medical condition' not hindering her whatsoever these last two months; the purple haired demon was as lively as ever, and she was now on an even level with Sasuke and Naruto, while all three were under Rock Lee.

Next was Aki, the warmer of the two twin girls; she was rather talented with Taijutsu, and she continued to impress with each new test thrown her way.

Her academic acumen rivaled her physical prowess, and she was shaping up to be a good Shinobi, especially when paired with her sister Ika.

Finally, the last girl that ranked high was Hinata.

She had continued to improve alongside Naruto, and she took my advice and shifted the Hyuga style to fit her body perfectly, forgoing the sweeping strikes and altering it to be more precise, to fit her controlled fighting style wonderfully.

Her medical knowledge of tenketsu points was on full display as she began to cripple her opponents with precise jabs.

Hinata had been training in utilizing raw strength in broad attacks, which was a flashy style the Main Family had created years ago; her Father wanted it to be something she learned, to display her prowess, but it simply didn't suit her.

Of course, she still trained in it to keep up appearances, but she preferred the quieter, gentler approach of a single jab to a drawn out brawl.

Though, when you replace her fingers with, say, a clawed gauntlet, you have a rather bloody and deadly fighter.

Placing the ten girls in their places, I then did the rest of the Taijutsu Class, before sighing as I gathered up the papers and made my way to Kurenai's room, where we agreed to meetup for our discussion of this years evaluation.

Finding Kurenai lounging in her chair, I smiled at her before sitting opposite her, both of us smiling warmly as we glanced at the others stomachs.

We were obviously pregnant at this point, and the attention that gave us from our peers and students was both warming and annoying.

From what the hospital had told us, we would have our delivery dates some time after the academic year ended, giving us time to watch our students 'graduate' before going onto break, where we would then deliver and have around three months to rest, recuperate, and spend time with our children.

Nodding to Iruka, we began to put together our reports, combing through dozens of grades as we compiled a detailed report on the students, which would be delivered to the Principal and Hokage.

The sun had long since set, and now the moon shone down on the village.

Walking home with it looming over our heads, we tiredly made our way to the Compound, enjoying the silence of the night as we listened to a few rabbits scurry around in our yard.

Reaching the main house, we entered and slipped into bed, where Anko and Cameia waited for us, the two women holding us as we passed out for the night, the days work catching up quickly as the soft bed enveloped our bodies.
