What were the curses and how they were born, no one truly understood. But the people believed that curses were formed through human resentment. It's the tragedies that give birth to curses and in the past, before the time of Knights, the curses were rampant in this world.

Caused entire families to disappear at a time and out of fear of accumulating resentment, many people tried to live a just life.

But these people were only among a minority and even if they did live a kind life, the curses would eventually find their way to torment them.

It was also the time of Curse wielders and the Exorcist, who were at the top of the world. While one was dreaded, the other was respected and even though the mages of old were still stronger than them, the fact remained the same that those that dealt with curses carried higher authority over the mortals than mages.
