Chapter 131: Love is Death

Once they got home and rested for the night, that was only when Leon and Wolfe opened the journal and read it. They knew they needed to be emotionally prepared for it.

Wolfe cleared his throat, and read out loud as they had their breakfast. 

"August 7, 1924."

Leon's eyes widened. "That's the date of the Qixi Festival in 1924. Also perfectly matches with the global calendar, both seventh day of the seventh month."

The Qixi festival or Double Seventh festival was considered Chinese Valentine's Day. Seven held a significance because it sounded like the the word for "start/rise" and "the eternal energy".

Qi as the vital energy could be positive or negative, and that was how the number was associated with as well. 

"The story of the Qixi festival was a melancholic one where two lovers could only meet on the 7th day of the 7th month in the lunar calendar." Wolfe said. " And it seems….."
