Yulan jumped as Mingyue dropped the hand warmer in her hand they stood and stepped away as two maids rushed forward to clean up the mess. 

Mingyue barely registered any word her friend said, Yulan's previous statement replied continuously in her head. 

Her head fell empty as she tried to process what she had just heard. She did not understand why her mother and grandfather would suddenly bring up her marriage.

The Grand Chancellor barely paid her any attention, she was just a princess and hence was of no use to them.

Princesses were usually excellent bargaining chips in the royal family. It was not unheard of for Princess to be married off to the sons of high-ranked officials for connection.
