The wait that followed was nerve rocking, Liqiu paced the room and when that wasn't enough. She stopped by the open window and looked out.

She could barely focus on anything, even the people going about their businesses reminded her of her current situation. Looking out of the window did not take her mind off her thoughts. 

Matron Wang's reaction when she made her request worried her, she did not know how Madam Liu would respond to her request. 

Would she agree to her request or would she reject her request and send her back to the laundry room? The possibility was endless, Liqiu stepped away from that window and walked to the soft couch.

She glanced at the maid standing by the wall and there was no change in her expression. Liqiu looked at the wall and rubbed her knees.

Her brow twitched when she heard footsteps at the door, she quickly glanced at the door.
