The claws moved swiftly on her arm, the force of the wolf pushing her down. Pain coursed through her body and a loud scream rang from the depth of Aniya's throat.

She imagined the worst, while she struggled to reach for the bottle she had tucked away, wondering if pouring it on them would do any damage. She felt it wouldn't, she would drink it instead.

It would be better to die that way than to be ripped apart alive; if she was lucky, maybe the poison would contaminate her blood and kill these horrible Lycans, too.

However, what happened next was nothing like what she had imagined.

One by one, her attackers got pulled into the darkness, their growl of agony filling the air after their disappearance, which then would be followed by a deafening silence.
