Chapter 175: Used up as an old coffee filter

Vice and Macahdo shook hands while Graz and Ares looked on with their weapons at the ready. There wasn't any real suspicion between them, especially after the signal Vice deposited as a gesture of good faith.

"You can expect a transport to come pick up the children in the next couple of days," Vice said, his hands shoved into the pockets of his slacks as Machado walked them towards the school's entrance. "In the meantime, I want the kids kept somewhere they can't escape, or injure themselves."

Machado steered Vice by the shoulder. "Don't worry, I guarantee you'll find them in perfect condition."

Now was Ivo's turn to interject. "I don't know. Some of those kids were violent. The ones who worked with them in particular could mean trouble."

Machado sent him a dirty look from the corner of his eye. "We have it under control."

Vice came to a stop and gave Ivo a searching look. "You think so?"
