Chapter 92: Hardest thing in the world

When Ivo came down the stairs Sara was giggling at something on her holopad. She turned her nose up to him when she heard him come down, and suddenly remembering the commotion upstairs, asked, "Where's my husband? I heard a sound like someone falling down. I hope he didn't hurt himself, or worse break his neck. I would hate to be a rich widow."

"Mr. D'Amico has a headache and went to bed, he doesn't want to be disturbed until tomorrow."

Sara raised an eyebrow at that but returned her attention to the holopad. "Fine by me. It's terrible sleeping next to him anyway, he hogs the covers."

Ivo was glad of her disinterest, but part of him couldn't help thinking that it wasn't normal. He wondered if Guilherme hadn't done more with his 'experimenting' than change her dominant hand. As tense as their relationship was, Sara didn't seem in a hurry to leave him, and her behaviour was non-threatening.
