Chapter 69: Confession and illness

"Okay, I know I've lived a life that enemies are always after me in the past. I didn't say a word about those who tried to kill me the other day because okay I don't even know why. I don't want that life again." Seo-yeon frowned. 

"Seo-yeon." Ho-jin called as he looked up at the sky. "Why did you think I gave you the contract out if all women I could easily give and divorce them later? I gave you because I like you, Seo-yeon. I've liked you since the day you bumped into me in the hospital. I wasn't sure of my feelings at all because I have never fallen in love with anyone my entire life." 

Seo-yeon looked at him speechless. She didn't know what to say, she just stared at him as he continued to look at the sky. "I don't expect you to love me back after everything Do-yun did to you but I just wanted you to know."
