Chapter 38: Cloud nine
Seo-yeon drove to Cloud nine after a long day working and visiting her mother. A man in black suit and dark shades walked to her as soon as she stepped out of the car.
"You must be Miss Seo-yeon. Sir Ji-min asked me that lead you in." The man bowed politely and Seo-yeon nodded before following him towards the VIP entrance of the club.
Cloud nine is a very popular hotel with a large nightclub, where rich people and celebrities party. Cloud nine's security was very tight and there was no way paparazzi could gain access into the club which is one of the reasons why celebrity billionaires spend their nights there.
The bodyguard led Seo-yeon into the club. It was Seo-yeon's second time in the club and the placed seemed to have changed since she went there. She went there with Do-yun, Eun-ji and some of his friends the night of her wedding with Do-yun.
"You didn't forget did you." Ji-min's voice pulled her out of her thoughts. She didn't realize she was already standing before him.
He was sitting in the midst of some ladies who were busy touching him seductively. The ladies were in revealing clothes and Seo-yeon could tell they were club workers.
"Is this seriously they right place for us to meet?" Seo-yeon pinched the area between her eyebrows giving a hint by gesturing toward the ladies and the deafening music.
"Wait for me in my suite, we can discuss it there." Ji-min said, signalling to the guard that brought her over.
"Who does she have to go to your suite and we haven't even stepped in it." One of the ladies frowned as she eyed Seo-yeon.
"She's here to discuss business with me." Ji-min replied as he picked his glass of alcohol and gulped it in a second.
Seo-yeon sat gently in Ji-min's suite with a glass of juice before her as Ji-min walked in. He was busy pulling out his tie when he sat before her.
"So tell me what made you make up your mind?" Ji-min asked as he carried the bottle of alcohol on the table next to the sofa he sat on.
"I don't see why you should know about the reason I decided to accept your request." Seo-yeon rolled her eyes and Ji-min chuckled before handing her a black file.
"The conditions, the amount you'll be paid by the company itself and all is there. When you start work, you might be lucky to be the ambassador of a particular product, who knows." Ji-min said with a sigh as he continued to gulp down the alcohol with him and not minding that he wasn't using a glass.
Seo-yeon opened the file and read the contract. The conditions seemed to be fine to her. "There's also a hospital fee there. Ge-un's hospital would be paid some fees monthly for any unpaid medical bills."
"I don't need that. I'll attend to my medical bills myself. Thank you for your care." Seo-yeon rolled her eyes as she picked a pen to sign the contract.
After signing the contract, one of Ji-min's guards came in to take it away. Seo-yeon rested her back and looked at Ji-min like she was trying to study him. Ji-min knew that look well, making him throw his head back in laughter. "You want me to tell you who Ji-hoon's father is, don't you? But well I don't know who he is."
"Few days back you said my son took a trait from his father and now you're saying you know nothing about his father." Seo-yeon frowned as she folded her arms across her chest. Ji-min didn't reply to her again, he just started to unbutton his shirt and she took that as a cue to leave which she did after giving a sigh.
"You'll be starting work when your manager says. She's going to be calling you tonight or tomorrow morning. Keep your line on." He informed before she left the room.
Seo-yeon walked down to the car park as she read the message Ma-ri had sent to her. She suddenly felt goosebumps as she walked along making her halt. She looked back and saw no one.
As soon as she opened the door to her car, she looked around again before sitting in the car and she drove out of the place at full speed. A man who was standing behind one of the pillars in the car park watched her car drive on.
"She left already boss." The man whispered into his speaker.
"Let her go."
