Chapter 37: Decision

"Yeah. She's a single mum. Don't ask me anymore questions and tell me why the hell you're here." Ge-un dropped the pen in his hand and looked up at Ho-jin with a frown.

"She's a single mother? She doesn't even look like she had a child already." Ho-jin tapped his fingers on the table making Ge-un sigh.

"Why are you interested in her? As far as I know, you have never been interested in any woman. And I was asking you why you decided to pay for her son's bills but you refused to reply to me." Ge-un said as he rested his chin on his knuckles.

"Ho-jin. If you want to ask questions about her, go ask her and not me. Dude why are you so interested in her?" Ge-un raised his brows.

"I'm here for something else Ge-un. It is something important, really important." Ho-jin ignored what he asked and Han walked out.

Seo-yeon drove back to Ma-ri's mansion in high speed in the pouring rain. The rain continued pouring heavily but she didn't mind.

When Seo-yeon got to the mansion and drove straight to the garage. Ae-cha rushed to her with an umbrella and she thanked her before they both walked in. Ji-hoon quickly rushed to his mother and his small figure hugged her legs.

"Momma." He squealed as he looked up at her happily. Seo-yeon smiled at him lovingly before lifting him up in her arms.

"Ge-un told me about aunt." Ma-ri stood up where she was with her phone. "What happened?"

"I went to the Yang's mansion." Seo-yeon said and Ma-ri gasped.

"You did what? Do you have a death wish?" Ma-ri yelled.

"He tried to kill my mother. He was the one behind her poisoning." Seo-yeon frowned giving Ji-hoon to Ae-cha. "It's bed time Ji-hoon. I'll come check up on you later. I need to talk to aunt Ma-ri okay?"

Ji-hoon nodded as he followed Ae-cha up the stairs to his room. "Why would he do that?"

"I don't know why but he admitted it himself. He also asked me to come back to the Yang family." Seo-yeon sat gently and Ma-ri looked at her speechless.

"That's impossible." Ma-ri gasped.

"Well he did but I refused. I don't want to become his puppet like back then when he almost turned me to his puppet. I told you and you know well when I was young, he made me train to be one of his gangs that helps him kill. He wanted me to become a killed for him seriously?" Seo-yeon sighed, covering her eyes with the back of her palm as she sank deeper into the sofa.

"He threatened?" Ma-ri asked sitting next to her.

"Yes." Seo-yeon sighed. "Right now I have mother to worry about. She has just six months and she needs transplants and replacements. It's very expensive and Ji-hoon's surgery is in two weeks. He'll be staying at the hospital from the end of the week."

"How will we get the money for aunt?" Ma-ri asked worriedly.

"I plan to accept Ji-min's proposal about the modelling. I'll do it as a part time job along with my dance school." Seo-yeon stood up and picked her bag. "I'll go call him now."

"Okay. But are you sure you're going back to that line?" Ma-ri asked. She was a bit happy her friend was going back to her dream line but she wasn't doing it because she wanted to.

"Yes. I have no other choice." Seo-yeon replied as she walked up the stairs.

Seo-yeon closed the door to her room, dropping her shoes on the floor and her bag on the nearby chair before picking her phone.

She sat before her dressing mirror and dialed Ji-min's contact which he picked almost immediately. "I've been expecting your call." He chuckled gently from the other side of the phone.

"Why am I not surprised? You stole my phone number already didn't you." Seo-yeon frowned and he only laughed.

"What do you expect? So you've agreed?" He hummed and Seo-yeon knew clearly that he was drinking.

"Neither have you stopped your drinking habit." She said and he laughed. "Yes I have. Where should I meet you?"

"Come to Cloud Nine tomorrow, 6:00pm." Ji-min replied.

"Do you seriously want me to sign a contract in a club, Ji-min? Why don't you talk when you aren't under the influence of alcohol." Seo-yeon hissed, making Ji-min laugh sarcastically.

"I'm not drunk Seo-yeon, I know what I am doing. Just meet me there tomorrow." Ji-min said before hanging up.

Seo-yeon walked down the stairs to Ma-ri who was still sitting in the living room with her focus on the screen of her phone. "Ma-ri, he asked me to come tomorrow." Seo-yeon sat next to her and she looked up at her before dropping her phone. "I never thought I was going to go back to this line Ma-ri, I never did."

"Now I'm more worried about Mr Yang's threat." Ma-ri sighed as she held her friend's hands, gazing into her eyes with concern.

"I'm going to be fine Ma-ri, no need to worry about me. I know his plans. He doesn't think Ha-n would be able to handle his business so he wants me to handle it. He trained it for me back then." Seo-yeon sighed as she rested her back, remembering the way her father had made her learn how to handle a gun, fight and do other acts which she hasn't used since she was disowned.

The sound of Ma-ri's phone ringing, pulled Seo-yeon's attention to her. "Yes Ge-un?"
