Chapter 23: Happy With Juju
Because Juliet's car was sent to a repair shop, so Juliet took JJ out in the Carlton family car.
As they were about to leave, Justin stood at the study's window on the second floor and watched them get into the car.
Since Juliet had appeared, Jerome had become much more lively and cheerful, and the boy had smiled more often.
"Master, why don't you suggest going together?" Dean, who had just arrived, immediately asked. He thought he could take a day off if Justin came out with Juliet and JJ.
Justin retracted his gaze and simply replied, "There's still a long way to go."
In fact, it was clear that he didn't have the courage to take the initiative and ask Juliet.
Dean had no choice but to follow Justin's will, so all he could do was get back to the subject and talk about work.
While sitting in the car going down the mountain, JJ hummed a little tune happily. The beautiful expression on his face made Juliet smile and ask, "Are you really happy?"
"Yes." JJ nodded and held Juliet's arm with both hands. "I've never been to a shopping mall with anyone to buy clothes. Usually, designers always come to my house to make special clothes for me."
Juliet was silent, and JJ continued his words affectionately, "Besides, since it was Juju who took me away, I feel happier!"
JJ's voice was so adorable, like sweet cotton candy, filling Juliet's heart with warmth.
The atmosphere in the car was so harmonious that Juliet's cell phone rang, and the phone number displayed on the screen made her frown.
Juliet signaled JJ to be quiet and then answered the phone. "Hello? Dad..." she called reluctantly.
Then, there was a voice on the other side with a commanding tone. "This afternoon, come home for a while."
"I'm afraid I can't. Today I-"
Before Juliet could answer, her father's voice—Kurtis, had interrupted. "If you can't, you have to do it anyway! Are you bragging now? You don't even want to listen to my orders anymore?!"
