'So he had left for work! And here I thought that I did not need to see his face now!' Renata brought a bright smile on her face as soon as she heard the footsteps of her father coming closer.

She was back to her acting mode again.

"Father.. You are looking too.. Bright?" Did she forget about any important event?

Since the memories of her childhood were blurry, she was not sure if something was going to happen today or not.

But wasn't today already too eventful? The marquis would not have visited today with his son if there would have been any important meeting.

But then why in the world he was shining so brightly. Why was he wearing such fancy clothes as if he had to attend the ball or the emperor of the neighboring empire was going to visit him?

He just nodded at her comment but she could see that he was in a good mood. His face had that calm look instead of that dark one and his eyes were not looking dead.
