He lifted a large painting with both hands and hung it on the wall. He was enhancing to the beauty and uniqueness of the classroom interior design.
While Vargas Nart faithfully followed behind him holding several paintings.
All on Declan Whitelock's orders; the head of the academy who asked Zeryon for new paintings to be displayed in each class. He happily painted several illusion paintings that appear to be real.
When he was busy adjusting the position of the painting, he suddenly heard a very serene voice. Sneaking enough so that he stepped in search of the source of the tones. It was as if the beautiful voice was able to hypnotize anyone who heard it until they drifted into the subconscious.
"Who sings this song?" he asked.
This song felt familiar to Zeryon. It was frequently sung by music teachers or students, particularly at campus performances. However, this time the strains sounded as if they were inviting him to come and communicate.
Zeryon accelerated his pace in the direction of the singing voice. He was certain it was coming from the music class.
He finally arrived and stood at the front of the class. Then, suddenly the song stopped.
When he entered the classroom, he found Meloda standing at the front of the class, then his eyes locked on the golden blonde haired woman sitting at the front desk. Gina Blitz looked cute in her floral dress. He gave her a smile.
"Oh, Mr. Zeryon Drax. I'm so honored you came to here. What brought you to my class?" Meloda turned her gaze to him and approached him.
Zeryon addressed the teacher. "Well yes, I came to bring the new painting for the class."
"Wow, that's incredible." Meloda scanned the room to the left and right, as if looking for something.
"Oh, the painting is with Vargas. He'll be here in a minute," Zeryon stated.
Soon Vargas came in breathless carrying a large painting. It seemed that Zeryon was walking too fast and he was not able to followed him.
Zeryon asked him to hang the painting on the classroom wall. He nodded and carried out the order without hesitation.
"I just wonder why did you sing that song?" Zeryon asked Meloda bluffy.
"I'm sorry? As you know, that's part of my job. Of course I'm teaching the classical songs today," Meloda answered.
"I mean...nevermind—"
Zeryon couldn't finish his sentence because he was standing in front of the new students, and Gina was also there.
This song was not just an ordinary song. It was a song that could summon supernatural beings, including demons. In the year the song was created, thousands of demons were summoned from the underworld to immigrate to the city of San Francisco. Therefore there was a sudden large population increase.
New students should not be taught this song. They probably wouldn't know what the demons would do to them if they were able to summon them, Zeryon thought.
Not to mention the demons that just arrived from the underworld haven't adapted to the earth's surface yet. They could be aggressive and hurt those students.
"You don't have to worry, Mr. Zeryon. That other spell doesn't work if it's only partially sung. It takes a lot of strength and the combined sound of a jaw harp to be able to summon from the underword portal," Meloda whispered as if she understood Zeryon's concern.
Zeryon nodded and commented, "Alright. I know you can make the right decision."
"I do. And I have been teaching this song for a long time and many even sing it with different compositions. But nothing happened."
"Yes, I believe."
Vargas finished hanging the painting, then he reported to Zeryon and Meloda. They thanked him.
"Then I'll excuse myself, Miss Meloda. Thank you for your time. You can continue your class again," Zeryon said.
"No, I'm done. It's day one. So I'll let them adapt first. And thank you for the painting. It's such a nice work."
"No problem." Zeryon turned around and stepped outside.
Meloda stepped into the middle of the class and announced that her class was over. Then she left the classroom.
Of course that gave Zeryon a chance to approach Gina. He stood outside the door, watching the students leave the classroom one by one. Until finally he saw the young woman out with her head lowered for a moment.
"Hello, Gina!" Zeryon greeted her.
Gina raised her head with a smile, "Hi! Do you have class or seminar today?" she asked.
"No. I'm just coming to bring the paintings."
"Oh, I see."
"How was the class?"
"It's fun. This is the first public class for me. It feels different than homeschool," Gina admitted.
"Okay. What's your plan after this? Do you have another class?"
"Nope, it seems that I will be free after this."
"How about you participate in the arts party this weekend?"
Gina's eyes immediately rounded and sparkled, "Is it okay for me to join it? As I'm a new student here."
Zeryon nodded and responded, "Of course. Any students can join it. And we can do the preparation now. Would you like to come?"
"Yes, please. I'd love to."
"Let's go then."
Gina nodded and they walked hand in hand towards the academy hall located in the center of the campus. Meanwhile, Vargas followed them from behind.
Gina lifted her head toward Zeryon and asked, "How long have you been active in the academy?"
"Ever since they invited me. To be precise, since my Youtube videos started going viral couple years ago. Many have started inviting me to their events. And on campus it's more routine," Zeryon explained.
"Oh I see. I always watch your Youtube videos. You're so talented."
"Thank you if you like it."
"I like it so much. Your paintings are beautiful."
"It's not my paintings that are beautiful but the eyes who see it."
Gina laughed. "Thank you."
Her laugh felt so shoothing and her smile was very sweet. That made a smile appear on Zeryon's lips.
Arriving at the hall, they were startled by the screams of the people. There was a big figure ruffling the hall that had just been decorated.
"What creature is that?" Gina asked while widening her eyes.
"We'd better get out of here!" Zeryon ordered.
