Chapter 50: Rules

"Are you okay?" Lucas asked calmly, walking towards the bed with his hands stuffed inside his pockets.

Dionne slowly turned her head to look at Lucas. Her hair was covering her face and she looked so pale. "What happened?" she whispered.

Lucas tilted his head slightly to observe if she had any idea of what had happened earlier. It seems like she didn't. "Nothing happened, you just had a bad nightmare," Lucas sat in front of her and removed the hair that was obstructing him from viewing her beautiful face, "Do you remember what you dreamt about?"

Dionne slightly furrowed her eyebrows at the subtle tone Lucas used on her. She quickly slapped his hand away from her face when she remembered the terms by which she was staying in this house, "Don't touch me."
