Chapter 56: OBEDIENCE

An intense pain similar to a thousand cuts wrecked through Erian's body. He felt as though every cell in his body had exploded, atom by atom together and to mush together with his bones.

A cloud of dust covered the entire area of twenty meter radius, darkening the scenery with its murky body.

The ground had caved in, revealing a deep 5 meter hole within. Compared to the large hole, Erian was like a tiny boulder. But compared to the ten meter giant before him, he wasn't much different than a tiny ant.

His knees were bent, almost touching the ground as the fierce force ravaged his entire body. Blood spilled out from the corner of his lips mixed with saliva.

His sleeves had exploded from the shockwaves and blood oozed out from the pores on his right arm which was bent in an unnatural angle as he gasped heavily for breath.

The moment their hands collided, the Titan had actually steeped back from the resultant force as the kinetic energy pushed it backwards, letting it take a huge step back. Confusion could be seen on its face as it gazed at Erian with its large terrifying eyes. It was probably wondering why this food was fighting back unlike the others. Is this a new form of game the food was trying? It seems fun.

"Roar!" am explosive roar erupted from its mouth as its eyes shine in excitement. The previous game was fun, but this one is even more fun. Its hand stretched out once more towards Erian.

Seeing this, Erians eyes turned pin point and he almost vomited another mouthful of blood as he cursed. "Dammit! It's 1 minute and 3 seconds already, why haven't they ended this trial yet!?"

"Alright Martha, we've seen enough. Activate OBEDIENCE and contain the monster." Freden who was also a third year student was seated amongst the seven at the control centre of the Colosseum, he spoke out with a frown.

Martha remained indifferent as the disbelief in her eyes cleared. A rectangular Jade- like device much like a remote control was in her hands, but from her expression, she clearly had no intent of using it.

The other five senior students frowned, witnessing her gibbous behaviour. This time, they couldn't afford to keep quiet. While the institute focused and believed in being extremely cruel to their students to draw out their potential and transform them to monsters amongst geniuses, there was always some sort of limit, a line of survival for the student.

Nevertheless, Martha appeared to be crossing that line because of some grudges she had with a student's behaviour. If the envoys got to know of this, they would be severely punished and the least punishment received could potentially kill any of them if they were not careful.

It wasn't a chance any of them was willing to take. "Rugard, she's clearly crossing the line here. If that boy dies, just know that I've recorded everything and in just a click, the report will be sent to the Envoys even at the risk of being punished!" The white-haired senior's tone was resolute as well as vicious. It was obvious he was willing to risk it.

Martha's pupils dilated and her expression changed. "You wouldn't dare!" She knew if the Envoys saw the report, she would be doomed. Even if she survives Hades, several months of recuperation would be needed before she could recover.

"Don't test me Martha." The white-haired man threatened with his deep voice.

Martha's expression kept changing, conflicted with the choice she was to make. But soon, a sneer appeared on her face. So what if she was punished? She might be punished but they will all go down with her and as a 4-star, high grade Talent, there was a chance her penance might be reduced.

The thing she loathed more than anything was being threatened!

She actually didn't contain the Titan and instead let it run rampant.

On the screen, Erian let out another blast of nuclear energy from his legs as he flashes away from his position, landing two meters away in a sorry state. Pain ripped through his body like needles shooting through his pores, into his bones.

"Bang!"

The large hand slammed into the empty ground, creating another cloudful dust. Within its grip was a handful of sand.

The Titan was even more excited to see this food was playing a new game with it. Tossing the handful of dirt aside, two youths who were running for their lives were instantly buried by the large pile of sand, their fat unknown.

Seeing Erian had the strength to still escape after receiving an attack from the Titan, Martha's face turned ugly before she was able to do anything.

"Restrain the beast, that's enough time already."

A familiar soothing voice responded from the comtorl center. It was the young man who was seated at the center. He was a 6-stsr talent therefore and was a genius amongst genius. Apart from that psychopath Dark Slaughterer who was the number one genius, this young man was the number two genius of the third year students.

Martha gritted her teeth when she heard this and her expression was clearly dark as she clenched her fist. But sha had no choice that to do as he said.

While they were both Third year Titans, their power level is like an ocean to a pool. This university strictly follows the rule of the jungle. With his influence, only raising his voice would caused numbers of people to rise up to kill her in her abode. Killing was allowed within the campus premises as long as it was from the same year and you weren't caught in the act by an envoy.

Doubtlessly, she didn't want to offend Bloodless Ivan for no reason at all. Her index finger moved immediately as she pressed down the button in the remote.

Back at the Colosseum, the large Titan suddenly shook violently and electricity surged from its body with rapid flashes, it crackled around.

In just a second, the Titan fell right beside Erian, with a mighty thump! It was out cold!
