Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Northward!
Its been 2 days since Lukeas met an interesting delivery coachman named Andrew.. And he have took in mind his advice about heading to the north to join the academy.
And he have spent this 2 days gathering any possible items or tools that he will need for a long travel. Currently Lukeas wears a huge bag. Carrying many things from cooking pots, ladle, clothes, rope, extra weaponry, lots of waterskins to store waters. Knife, whetstone. And many more. It costs him 63 gold wich is quite a lot. But he still have some left after completing the search quest a few months ago..
And before starting his journey he went and visited the quest board to see if he can see some quest that he can do at the same time travel to the north so he could get some money together with his travel. Then he saw a perfect candidate for it.
It reads.

"Its tomorrow"
Lukeas tore it from the quest board without much hesitations and took it to the reception. But he was surprised to see the receptionist different..
The lady look at him as if she knows what he was thinking.
"Laura died in the dungeon fight..... So yeah... I replaced her...." she said looking down on the ground.. Her eyes getting watery
"Im sorry for your loss." Lukeas said with pity.
Making the girl nod.. "Yes.. But.. I'm sure Ms. Selene is having it worst.." Lukeas wandered what happened but before he could asked the lady already told him.
Turns out... The guild leader died mid battle.. But it wasn't of the monster attack... He was assassinated.. The investigation is still on going.. Well.. At least they defeated the dungeon and now Selene owned it.. For now... It was rumored that the brother of the guild master is asking for the rights of the entire guild.
Hearing this it wasn't hard to connect the dots.. Lukeas too was sure that Selene knows about it, it's just that they don't have any evidence yet.
"hmm.. Thanks for the heads up.." he said to the receptionist.
"Well.. It's not like it's a secret..." she replied. "Thanks anyway" Lukeas said. Before heading out of the guild.

As he step foot outside the building he looked up in the sky and saw that the sun was still high up in the sky. "hm. I still have lots of time to walk around and explore... Lets do that shall we?" then he started walking before stopping once again.. "Actually.. I heard there's a good restaurant here." he nodded to him self and turned around.
After a while he could be seen walking out of a building with a satisfied smile. Just on top of the building a sign read:

"Damn that taste wonderful." Lukeas stretched out after sitting for quite a while and doing nothing but eat.. He still has his huge bag with him till now and he pats his tummy.. "We gotta burn some calories after consuming aloot of them... Lets run shall we??" he mumbled to him self before he starts running.
Lukeas was running with glee at his top speed when he suddenly meet a person that wore a hooded cloak like him, whoever he or she was it seems to be in a hurry. But unlike Lukeas' the coat that the person uses was a normal one and made only with leather and maybe cloth.
"WHOA! Sorry.. Person... Who ever you are." he exclaimed before apologizing with a sincere apologetic smile. Yet the other person just nodded and run the opposite direction as him. He just shrugged it and continued with his business.
That is until he reach the park near the plaza. The park was quite huge. And it has a fountain too! Lukeas sat down one of it bench and tried to relax. This is year was probably the most relaxed he have ever been.
Other than the stay in the forest though.. He couldn't get a proper sleep in there since he was too paranoid that some creature would find him sleeping and maul him to death. Causing him to wake up with just a little bit of sound from the nature. He was also on constant hunt for food before he found Luicruos. So yeah.. Not good..
As for now? It's great, he have enough money from doing "difficult" quest, and when he's hungry he could just buy some food in some stores, no problem! But for one he knew that the journey to the north will be nothing but relaxed. Especially now that he took the task of escorting a big shot..
'Well.. I guess I can just run away when shits hits the fan' he thought before shrugging.. I mean why would he risked his life for some stranger and some coins...
*sighed*
"I wonder how many time have passed by on earth? Is the time here and thwre different? Is this place in a faster time or slower?... I missed chocolate.... And ice-cream too.." he kept mumbling to himself while cloud watching and he was so lost on his own world that he didn't notice someone looking at him weird..
Because first off... Hes speaking English... Something a complete nonsense for the people of this world. But it wasn't nonsense for someone on particular..
"What tongue are you speaking Sir....?" a curious young lad.. With a dark blue hair and a blue eyes.. 'So unique hair colors exist in this world too? Or is this hair dye?' Lukeas thought as he look at the person in front of him.
"Call me Azbob... My adventurer name... And also.. The tongue in speak is called... Eglesh.. It's a long lost language of this realm... I believe my family is the last speaker of this language... But you see, they're gone now. So I guess that's leaves me. So yeah.. I'm the last speaker... I think?... " since no one's gonna know about it why not mest around? And thats what he exactly did.
" Hmm... Indeed through all my travels ive never heard of a language called Eglesh... And you certainly isn't just randomly making some sounds earlier, because I could see a pattern on it.. Can you teach it to me?" the man ask.
But Lukeas was quick to refuse saying hes a very busy person. And surprisingly.. The man accepted it.. And instead introduced him self.
" Im Khanzima Fuhtharoe.. I'm a wandering scholar in search for wisdom, knowledge and truth... If you find your self having a free time perhaps you can send me some mails in this address and we cam discuss about the language you have.. I'll pay for it if you want! Alas, I've been bothering you for quite a while now, thanks for intertaining my curiosity kind sir.. Let us meet again.. " Khan said while he left him a card before standing up and leaving..
" uh... Sure... See you... I guess... " Lukeas just shrugged and put the piece of paper on his pockets. Then Lukeas look at the sun then realized dusk is about to begin. And so he headed to his Inn. And went to rent a room for the night...
'that was interesting.. But o gotta leave now'

Lukeas standing on the center of the plaza together with 8 other people. All of them have been waiting for quite a while now, specially the buffed guy. When suddenly they saw 3 carriage slowly approached their group before stopping only a few meters away with a butler jumping off one of the carriage. He also seems to be the coachman of the middle carriage.
"A coachman and a butler.. That guys hardworker" one of the adventurers said. "Or a greedy bastard.." another one followed up. Then suddenly the group exploded in laughter
"Gentlemen I apologize for the wait as we have broken down in the road and was delayed.. But let us not waste any more time.. Please divide your group into two.. The first group shall occupy the carriage in front while the second occupy the back.. And as for the middle, that will be your mission.. Protect everyone on the middle carriage." the butler started giving out commands. They seems to be in a real hurry. Because usually they will reveal the faces of the people they're protecting so the adventurer will know who's who.
But the group didn't voice out their concerns and quickly rode the carriage.. The buff man and the other 4 was in the front. While Lukeas and the other 3 are in the back.
"Everyone.. We go Northward!" the voice of the butler could be heard before they quickly set out. 'are we in a chase?' Lukeas wonders as he looks out of the window of the carriage. Looking at the people, stalls and building quickly being passed by the carriage until they pass by the gates and all he could see is grass.
They used the northern gates of the town.. Which was far from the forest. And instead its a massive grasslands.. It should have been a nice scenery if not for the bad feeling Lukeas is having..
'The last time I felt like this was before I fought someone to death and was forced to abandoned the village... Lets hope nothings too fucked up happen...' he closed his eyes with a wishful thought....
