Chapter 324: Standoff

Brie immediately ran down to the first floor, swinging the door open as she brought up her gun close to her chin. But she didn't shoot. In fact, she held her fire, as if no one was even down there.

I eventually joined her through the door, seeing no one inside the building. That was weird, why would they not hijack this place? It's literally a place to call, which could be their greatest threat.

"Okay, quickly, let's call," she said as we sped towards the cubicles. I quickly took a random one, grabbing the phone and dialing the number.

This was bad. This was bad.

I pulled up the phone to my ear, as the dialing sounds began to ring through my eardrums. However, in less than two seconds, Mr. Drails picked up.

"Yeah, what's wrong?" he asked. I responded, "Everything."

Mr. Drails took a moment of surprise, as shock emitted from the phone. "Connor," he said. "What in the world is going on there?"
