Chapter 23: Jade Pendents: New Relations
All of the Lee family remained there for the next two days. Mr. Park and the ladies looked after each other. After that the CCTV footage was clean indicating that they had left. Over the past days they had been searching for the possible suspect but couldn't find any lead. All of them go back to the mansion and look for clues.
Aye Ri searched in her parent's room along with Jisoo. Haeri and Lisa searched in the hallway where Jennie and Mr. Park searched in Miss Yeong's room. After three hours they all got tired and sat in the living room. Mr. Park interrogated if any of them found a lead to which everyone was blank. Aye Ri tired rest her face on the couch when she sees a Jade pendent lying under the ottoman. She gasps and quickly gets up to check It. Everyone glares at her on why she is so surprised. Aye Ri then Firmly holds the Jade pendent and asks Mr. Park if this could be the clue. To which Mr. Park casually says that it belonged to Mr. Lee as a gift from her mother. This pendent was given to Miss Yeong as well. It was the symbol that they belonged to this family.
When he was casually talking, he suddenly stopped and screamed, "WHAT!!?" Haeri inquires what happened. To which Mr. Park anxiously says that there were only two pendants according to Mr.Lee. One with Miss Chae Yeong and one with Mr. Lee. To which Lisa casually says, "So what?" Mr. .Park further explains that Miss. Yeong's pendent was buried along her and Mr. Lee's Pendent is engraved in the mural. Jisoo quickly gets up and walks to the large mural of Mr. Lee where he seems to be wearing the exact same pendent. Mr. Park walks up to the mural and presses his palm against the mural. To which the mural opens a little box. Mr. Park takes out the pendent from the box and inquires both of them. He shouts, "Indeed they are same!". Lisa asks, "How? You just said there are only two, so how can be there a third one?"
The next thing we see is Jennie running to her mother's grave and opening her coffin. It leaks a very nasty smell. Covering her mouth with a handkerchief she jumps into the grave and inspects the dead body. The pendent is still there. Everyone is shocked.
They send the three pendants to the laboratory without wasting a moment. They all guard the laboratory in case of invasion. Soon after the Examiner comes and tells them the report that these jewels are identical and by judging from carbon dating, they were made around the same time. Haeri says," So we have a nice little relative who is sneaking attacks!"
