Chapter 12: The Throne Is Mine
+16th Century, 1569. The Vredrivia Kingdom.
Octavius, the only child of the queen and the king of the Vredrivia Kingdom and the only pure royal is eighteen years old now.
Just like everybody expected, Octavius grow up to be the most beautiful omega around all the kingdoms and empires. Princes and kings were trying as hard as they can to get engaged with him but his highness always declines and rejects all of them without even thinking twice.
"I'm sorry because I couldn't convince the king to celebrate your eighteenth birthday." The prince was in his room sitting in front of the mirror while his mother was helping him to get ready since today there is important news that will be announced by the king.
His birthday was two days ago and just like the rest of his birthday, nobody cared about him other than his mother who did everything she can to make his birthday special.
She baked his favorite cake and showered him with gifts and they both sneaked out of the palace and wandered around the woods with their horses but she still feels that this was not enough. Her heart burns when she sees how the king treats his other sons and doesn't even bother to talk to Octavius.
"Mom, you don't need to apologize. You are more than enough for me. As long as I have you with me, I feel like I have the whole world with me. I don't need anyone to celebrate my birthday."
He grabbed her hand carefully and kissed its back which made a small smile appear on her face. "You are ready. You look handsome."
The prince raised his gaze to look at himself and the mirror when he heard what his mother said.
Siren green hazel eyes, long fabulous eyelashes, red tip of the nose, small yet plumped fair red lips which the queen added some more lipstick to it, his skin was clear to the point that it made his face look glowy, golden-brown hair that was styled by the queen and the beautiful crown on top of his head and lastly the royal jewels.
"The only thing that was left is your coat." Said the queen as she walked to the bed and took the black royal coat that she prepared for her son.
She made sure to tell the royal tailor to put the best rubies and diamonds on it.
The prince hummed before getting up and walking to his mother who helped him in putting on the royal coat as she smiled in surprise looking at how perfect it looked on the prince " Everything in you is perfect, my prince."
Octavius turned to face his mother as he tried to smile for her which made her chuckle " You don't need to force yourself, honey. I'm your mother. "
He nodded and stopped trying to smile before uttering " I will be crowned as the crown prince tonight. I will make you proud because you are everything I have."
"You are my miracle, Octavius. I love you more than anything. Just to let you, you don't have to do anything to make me proud of you because I will always be."

The ministers and the three princes were all gathered in the throne room. Each one of them was seated in his right place.
Thirteen places on the left and thirteen on the right were for the ministers and the three small thrones that were the closest to the king's throne were for the three princes.
The queen and the Odalisques who are the mothers of the princes were present in the throne room as well with their escorts and maids and they were all sitting behind huge transparent curtains.
The queen had a throne next to the king but she hasn't used it for years due to the king's order.
Talking about the king, here he is walking inside the throne room with his two true blood escorts as everyone present in the room stood up in respect for him.
He sat on his throne with his two gigantic escorts next to him as he gave permission to the rest of the people present in the room to sit down " As all of you know, I said I will reveal who the crown prince of Vredrivia kingdom will be today."
Octavius glanced at his brothers who were sitting right in front of him on the left of the king and noticed how they were nervous which made him secretly chuckle because he was so confident that the king will announce him as the crown prince since he is the only pure royal and the law number 64 says that the only one who can be a crown prince is the pure royal moreover he is the oldest and the one who is the most qualified for this position.
"According to law number 64 that our kingdom has been following for centuries, the crown prince or princess has always been a pure royal." The ministers remained silent and looked at Octavius.
None of them was going to allow this to happen, but they stayed silent and waited to see what the king will say.
"But since the only pure royal is the prince Octavius I can't allow him to be the crown prince because simply Omegas are not meant to rule which is why the crown prince will be Prince Arthur." The king smiled in the end and asked his escorts to show the crown of the crown prince that was in one of the escorts' hands.
Arthur grinned and gave a hug to his brother who was happier than him.
The queen felt tears in her eyes when she heard what the king has announced as she immediately looked at her son to see his reaction but everything she could see was his hair because he was lowering his head.
Octavius on the other hand, felt his blood boil inside his veins. He is always calm and cold but at this moment he was mad.
The anger that he felt when he heard what the king said made him lose the control that he always has over his emotions and feelings.
The prince suddenly stood up receiving everyone's attention especially when he started laughing alone out of the blue.
He slowly walked towards the king and stood right in front of him. "This omega will show you what omegas can do, your majesty."
The king was suddenly pulled away from the throne and thrown to the ground by prince Octavius.
All the ministers gasped and pointed their swords towards Octavius just to be shocked by the golden glow in his eyes as well as the golden smoke that was coming out of his eyes.
The two princes got terrified as they instantly ran away from the throne and went to their mothers.
While the king was whimpering in pain because Octavius pushed him from above the stairs that are in front of the throne.
Two ministers ran to help him while Octavius just smirked looking at everyone with his golden eyes before he takes off the crown that was on his head and replaced it with the one that he took from the king's head as he slowly sat on the throne watching the chaos that was inside the room and how terrified everyone was before uttering " The throne of Vredrivia kingdom belongs to me. And if anyone has any objections can easily come and talk to me."
He finished talking by throwing the heads of the royal escorts on the floor.
Blood was everywhere on the throne and on Octavius' clothes, two dead bodies that belonged to the two true bloods were laying down next to his throne on the floor without their head.
The queen was shocked as much as everyone else while looking at her son's golden eyes and what he did and how he mercilessly chopped two true bloods heads without hesitation just because they tried to protect the king O…

AuthorWissal I did not want to put a lot of details in this chapter because it is not important since this is just a start to see Octavius' glory and how he will take over the world.
The real plot of the book which will start in the next chapter will be with the 23-year-old Magnus and 28-year-old Octavius.
