Laura curled her lip, clearly not believing Gao Guang's words.
Gao Guang knew Laura wouldn't believe him either, but he was too lazy to explain anything. He just smiled slightly, then said to Laura, "Don't believe me, huh? Then guess why the Phantom Brigade invited me here. And note, they invited me."
Laura paused for a moment, and Gao Guang let out a small laugh, "I'll tell you a secret: I'm invincible in close combat."
Laura finally looked at Gao Guang with surprise.
Gao Guang's self-praise had earned him a surprised look from Laura. Alright, it seems that Alaskans really are reserved. They truly aren't good at expressing their emotions.
Gao Guang was brimming with confidence, and now he was looking forward to the start of the exercise.
Half an hour later, the exercise began on schedule.
