_______________________________________________________________

Eunji got into the car that was parked and clearly waiting for Kim Eunji.

Well, it was nothing special, just one of those cars that you call through an app, she usually used them when she was tired or had been drinking and she drank almost half a bottle of whiskey by herself. But especially at that moment, she also didn't have a car...

There were so many things to think about that at that moment she just opened the car window a little and watched him go on his way. The route was already planned and even the payment had already been made, so just wait for him to finally arrive.

Changes make you have to think and rethink many things, even if she likes the convenience of using public means of transportation. It is convenient to use buses and subways.

But the status she had now required a little more arrogance and also more security, she needed a car and preferably it was completely protected and armored.

The young girl sighed tiredly and finally allowed herself to rest, leaning her back against the car seat, she urgently needed to sleep.

All she needed was sleep.

She knew it wouldn't take more than ten minutes to get to the hotel, the closest hotel was the hotel that belonged to her family and there was already a reservation with her name, so it wasn't difficult to get there, much less get a room.

She's the kind of person who will probably have a free pass to get a room regardless of the circumstances.

The Kim family ventured into multiple industries and this acted almost like a very simple philosophy of the family and their business: if there were people who needed a roof over their heads, then there will be money.

Offer a roof over their heads and get money, offer a roof over their heads and perks and get even more money, get a roof over their heads and feed someone's ego?! You should get a loyal customer.

The Kim family owned several hotels, restaurants, bars, houses, apartments, commercial buildings... It doesn't matter.

They always focused on the ability of something to be within four walls and under a roof, be it people or food.

"Kim's CO" specialized in real estate and it was exactly this that Eunji would take care of and not the entire billion-dollar family empire that would be under other names and other management.

The difference in all of this was that Kim's CO was like a son to Doyun, so seeing the company sink was like thinking he had failed as a father. He really had failed, but he didn't accept that as an option.

Well, it wasn't like Eunji was coming to save the world, the greater probability was that she would actually end up destroying it, it was undeniable that she had no education or experience.

She would just do what she thought was right and that is often what causes anyone's destruction.

If everything collapsed with her inside, it would be at the very least... It would just be extremely shameful and humiliating.

But she would still have somewhere to go at the end of the day. If you fail miserably and show up on your knees begging, you will still have a place to work.

The Kim family owned everything and even if the main company really did go bankrupt the family would not suffer too serious net damage.

Doyun, despite being stupid enough to trust Donghae, never made such a mistake more than once and the other companies were in perfect condition and harmony.

They could even be turned over and nothing would happen, only old papers that were no longer important and could be thrown in the trash.

But Kim's was definitely the beginning of everything and Do-yun's enormous pride and that was what was most painful. A father who saw his son fail in life. A part of himself that was watching him slowly crumble.

The pride and legacy he had for the world.

Everything turned to trash.

Whatever, Eunji was starting to lose track of some things, drunkenness and sleep were making her lose her senses a little... But the old man definitely seemed ready to do crazy things.

Eunji too.

In less than half an hour Eun-ji was already soaking in the bathtub in her room and trying hard not to fall asleep.

The pain in her back didn't help since there was now a huge tattoo on her body and she would have to go through all the stages of pain, healing and itching.

It had to be ugly to be beautiful in the end. After all, a tattoo is an art that requires your own skin and pain so that it can exist.

She wanted a hot bath, but a cold bath relieved all the discomfort and left the irritating sensation in her back a little less. At one point she couldn't feel her fingertips and that was when she realized she was ready to get out of that huge ice bath and go to sleep.

Just dry your hair and go to bed.

There was a knock on the door and she rubbed her eyes as she dragged herself through the bathroom, spilling water everywhere.

The effects of the alcohol had already worn off a while ago, she probably came to her senses immediately after getting into the ice water.

But she wasn't expecting visitors, now was a great time to get drunk and tell someone to go to hell.

She put on a long, soft bathing suit, she was cold, so her teeth were chattering against each other.

She turned up the temperature in the room, although it wasn't cold, but she needed to warm her body up a little.

She went to answer it innocently thinking it was the room service she had ordered, but what she found was a woman with a sullen expression carrying a designer bag and a diamond necklace. She sighed tiredly.

She would definitely rather be drunk or even in hell itself.

Eunji's mother is Kim Ha-yun and the woman had been married to Kim Do-yun for over 25 years and she had been with him in every possible situation.

She married the man when she was in her twenties and he was in his thirties.

She had always been rich, but Doyun was a man whose wealth was on the rise and although his father didn't like it very much, he wasn't against it either. Do what you want.

The choice is yours alone and so is your regret.

Interestingly, Hayun's father considers Eunji his favorite granddaughter and not because she is the couple's only blood child... The pregnancy happened and all that, but the other children always seemed more like objects.

Hayun would raise them like one would raise dolls and he barely saw his grandchildren, only the youngest ones were the ones he saw most running around the hallways of his house.

Nothing that a crisis in Doyun's business wouldn't force a rapprochement, right?!

Eunji's birth was like a great gift in Hayun and Doyun's lives. She could finally have the pleasure of giving birth to her own daughter... But why do things seem so complicated now?

Everything was difficult, you when you were growing in my belly, or when you were born and grew up running around.

When you started to be interested in stupid things and hanging out with promiscuous women... Honestly.

Hayun always thought about where she went wrong, how could her perfect and longed-for daughter not be exactly how she wanted?! She often found herself asking herself if Eunji could ever return to the sweet innocence she had when she was born. Despite everything being painful, you smiled beautifully.

The woman didn't wait to be invited and went straight into the room. It seemed irritating to her to know that her daughter had returned to the country and hadn't stopped by to see her.

You hadn't even stepped foot in your own house!

She looked at her daughter's room and sighed.

She knew how methodical Eun-ji was when it came to organization, and seeing how everything was just scattered around showed how tired her daughter was. Her anger went away in an instant.

In reality, she just thought that, despite being organized, it was stuffy. Open some windows. "It's hot in here. Call the staff to check the ventilation or change your room..."

Hayun didn't look at Eunji for long. She entered the room, stared at her wet hair, still dripping with water, for a few seconds, and felt the heat hit her body... Just make up an excuse and go to the windows so you don't have to talk to her directly.

It was hard to be civil when she felt so much guilt inside her.

"I'll do it... I'll take care of everything, you don't have to worry."

Hayun didn't want her daughter to waver. Despite everything... And because of everything, she was the daughter who needed to prove something to the world. There was only you left.

The woman felt a slight pang of despair knowing that her daughter would now have to clean up Donghae's mess. "No, you should stand your ground... It's just that your father is afraid that you'll get nervous..."

In other words: he doesn't trust you to be able to handle the company and she even less so.

Eunji laughed lightly and leaned on her arms while leaning back briefly. "He doesn't seem to know me very well."

"Maybe..."

Eun-ji was tired of this topic and this conversation.

She took a deep breath and said a few last words before leaving the room. "Your father has already removed Donghae from his will and everything indicates that there will be a criminal investigation... Today all anyone talks about is that one of those kids who sing in music groups was using drugs in nightclubs... But tomorrow Donghae should be the subject of discussion again."

Of course that's all they talk about, Eunji leaked the information to buy time.

Children forget that some laws won't change just because they have a pretty face or sing well.

Donghae was the big problem, she couldn't control him or what he did or thought... So what's the next step?!

He shouldn't accept all of this as a defeat too easily.

"And where is Donghae now?"

"I don't know, he hasn't contacted me since the scandal broke."

The embezzlement scandals were just the tip of the iceberg, Dong-hae was being named in cases of prostitution and drug trafficking. Really problematic.

The police had been investigating him for a long time.

Once again. There was a knock on the door. Finally, room service arrived with Eun-ji's dinner and while the young waiter served the dishes, Hayun simply waved goodbye to her daughter.

There was no physical touch or affection.

After the brief meal, Eun-ji fell asleep easily.

The trip from London to Seoul was at least an eternity and she could feel her entire body aching, despite having traveled first class.

But let's not ignore the huge tattoo session she had.

Her brother had a lion and she now had flowers. It was almost like a beautiful and impossible fight.

It's really hard to believe that roses can destroy a lion.

She will do it. No matter the cost.

During the exhausting trip, she reviewed several documents and reports and the reality was even more frustrating than she thought it would be.

Dong-hae caused a really impactful loss within the company and it would be really difficult to fix it without major changes.

But especially that was the day that Eun-ji would officially take over as president and it would also be the day of her father's retirement announcement.

She felt great satisfaction in knowing that she could work in peace, without having her father glued to her every day. It would be troublesome, besides he was old-fashioned and wouldn't understand half of what she was going to do.

She dried her blond hair while looking at her clothes, she needed to renew her wardrobe, there were many clothes that she should probably just throw in the trash... They didn't bring back good memories even if she tried hard to do so.

The ones she wore she bought at a luxury store at the airport when she was returning home.

So she didn't have enough clothes for a company president.

She took the new clothes and put them on calmly, enjoying every moment, the expensive fabric needs to be admired.

She particularly preferred dresses and skirts, but wearing a suit and pants, especially tailored ones, was still extremely satisfying and one of the best feelings.

So don't just buy, also have clothes made.

Finally she did some light makeup and she was ready to go out.

The hotel that would host her for that week was organized and clean. A luxury hotel, to say the least. But strangely, there was a cleaning team nearby that really bothered her... She didn't like the quality of the service they offered.

In theory, she owned that place, even if she didn't want to, probably when her parents died she would have some share of it to divide between her and her siblings, so every step she took she could hear the employees greeting her.

She sighed tiredly.

She put on her sunglasses and pretended it wasn't her problem.

This time she wouldn't go with a ride-hailing car, but one offered by her family, so it would be with her whenever she needed to go somewhere. Which honestly wasn't a good or bad thing.

She felt like she was being watched. But she wouldn't hide anything either, just watch.

In a few minutes they arrived at the company and she would be greeted by a crowd of reporters who crowded in droves at the door of the building.

Eun-ji got out of the car elegantly and didn't even look for a second in the direction of the few reporters who were gathered at the entrance.

She walked freely while she could hear some voices echoing in search of some information.

Stop for a moment and take off her glasses just to look better on camera.

"I honestly have nothing to say, I just arrived in the country and we are negotiating with everyone in light of the recent misfortunes, we just hope to resolve this in the best way possible... Have a good day."

She put her glasses back on her face and now she comes across another crowd, but this time of the employees themselves.

We really must be in a crisis since almost the entire company is at the reception waiting for the president...

She sighed and just ignored it for a bit, the time to be introduced was not now.

Don't make a mess or cause problems.

But it was really hard to control the curiosity of all those people, she just continued to ignore them and went to the reception, talk to the young man who was static and almost enchanted by her and the beauty that Eunji had.

It was no exaggeration to say that Kim Eun-ji attracted everyone's attention, she was so young and so beautiful. Her cold and elegant features made her look even more charming and her light blonde hair was so beautiful that it made her even more magnificent.

The young Kim was no more than 165 cm tall, but her upright posture and slim body made her look more dominant and elegant.

"Tell the marketing and press department that a press conference or official appearance for the media will be held soon and we will inform everyone. Understood?"

The young man felt confused... Of course, he would give the message, but after all, who was she? Eun-ji noticed the confused eyes of the little boy and just sighed.

"Tell him that this is an order from Kim Eun-ji."

The surname Kim resonated like piercing needles. She was his boss! The poor boy could not hide his expression of astonishment, he felt his legs and hands trembling.. "Y-yes, ma'am."

Eun-ji didn't like too much attention. So annoying.

She walked slowly towards the elevator and a few people who were nearby continued to watch her closely. She put her fingerprint on the elevator exclusive to the board of directors... She was definitely someone important.

The Kim's companies headquarters had countless elevators and floors completely exclusive to the board members and being someone with access to them meant that the person was one of the few who called the shots in everything that happened in that place.

Curious looks mixed with frightened looks. They should behave.

But suddenly everyone also seemed to share the same thoughts: would she be the new vice president?!

Well, for them it wasn't an option that Doyun was retiring in the middle of a crisis. So she should be the new vice president.

So young. Maybe she would cause more problems than Donghae.

The elevator quickly opened its doors and she entered, no one would dare to follow her so everyone just stared at the doors finally closing.

Eunji wasn't a woman of many wills, at least not when it involved other people, she was very rigid when something involved her.

But she definitely didn't like lack of organization and seeing some employees with their desks completely messy and full of trash and papers made her feel disoriented. She took a deep breath. She wanted to fire everyone. But it was just her OCD speaking louder, screaming in her mind.

Finally, she arrived at the president's office, a room that had once belonged to her father and now belonged exclusively to her.

She knocked twice on the door and heard a faint call telling her to come in.

There was no one at the secretary's desk, so there was no one to announce her arrival. Her father, as always, was one of the first to arrive at the company, and he seemed to be chatting in a cheerful tone with his secretary, and on the other side was his wife.

It almost seemed like a family reunion. Old Kim walked over to his daughter and hugged her. Eun-ji could smell her old father's strong, citrusy scent. It was familiar.

Not very comforting, but it was familiar. He must have had the same type of perfume for as long as she could remember.

Her father's secretary would probably retire with him, and she was still relatively young at only 40. The young woman would have a secure life.

A secretary retiring with her employer was a sign that she would receive a very good retirement, she really should, she must know so many things that not even God would like to know that there was one.

Eunji just bowed gently, despite everything everyone present was older than her and she had some education.

"Good morning everyone..."

Mother Kim approached her daughter and touched her on the shoulder.

"The person who will work for you as a secretary is already at the company, he is just finishing taking care of the documentation for the job reassignment in human resources..."

Doyun said a little puzzled. He didn't know exactly why his daughter had insisted so much on that young man to be her secretary... But she wanted it and she got it.

Eun-ji wanted to start her work right away, but apparently she couldn't do much until the secretary arrived, so she just sat on the sofa in the huge living room and watched the others talk.

Her new secretary was already at the company so it wouldn't be long.

But watching the others talk and her being completely oblivious to everything seemed like a brief memory from the past.

It was like watching the Sunday meeting and the adults talking about things too difficult for the children to understand and all they could do was listen attentively.

After a few brief minutes, Mr. and Mrs. Kim had resolved all the pending details for the retirement announcements and in a few hours Eun-ji would officially be the new president of Kim's company.

There would be no party or ceremony, just an official announcement. The end.

Mother Kim felt pleased to have her husband with her more and already had countless travel plans, she also didn't want to be around Eunji and Donghae while they measured strength.

They would probably try to destroy everything, including the family.

But finally, they would have their first honeymoon in 30 years. The room was finally completely silent after everyone left and she was fiddling with her cell phone waiting for her new secretary.

She finally heard a knock on her door. "Come in..."

A man in his early 30s appeared. "Miss Kim?"

"Are you the new secretary?"

"Yes, I'm your new secretary, my name is..."

Eun-ji finally got up from the couch and stood up and walked over to her desk.

She had no interest in what the man had to say and just interrupted him. "Okay, have you been informed of everything I need to do up front? Papers I need to look at and meetings I need to have? You'll take care of my schedule for now..."

The man nodded frantically.

Mr. Kim had interviewed and hired him a week ago and he had had these few days to understand all of Eunji's habits and needs.

The new secretary was already aware that his new boss was someone complicated and he just kept his thoughts to himself.

"Yes, I'm already aware of everything."

She nodded as she watched her computer turn on.

"Great, then just bring all the paperwork inside and let's get to work..."

She held out her hand, handing him a black credit card, and it took him a few seconds to understand. "... Take it and buy two coffees, one for me and one for you."

"No need..."

She finally looked at him and could see the fear in his eyes. So tiring.

"I'm not asking if you want it. Just do as I say and buy yourself anything if you don't like coffee..."

He took the card and held it in both hands as if he were holding a delicate diamond. Well, he could probably buy a diamond with the limit on that card.

"Okay..." He hurried away and she smiled at the scene, it was really funny.
