Chapter 15: Chapter 15

-Two hours later.

Victor flew up leaving the island with only Von Doom's diary, thinking about his future.

He had just buried the Von Doom couple where the man had requested. Victor had used his energy to incinerate the little boy's body, and as promised, scattered the remains inside both their graves before filling up with sand. There were even dramatic marks left by the grave site, like footprints and handprints. When someone sees it, they would assume it to be from a young person.

He even marked their names with a wooded head stone on each with their name written. And in the middle of the two graves, there was a third wooden plank. It had — "Here lies a loving mother and the best father. Sign, Victor von Doom" — written on it.

When victor skimmed through Von Doom's diary, he was stunned to find out that the admiral Von Doom mentioned was actually Admiral Zephyr. Von Doom was also once a marine, a captain rank in fact. But after meeting his wife and finding love, he decided to quit and moved to this peaceful and remote island where his wife was from. Later they had a baby boy, named Jacob von Doom, born in Sea Circle Calendar 1478.

If you consider this worlds calendar, Victor was born in 1479, and the boy Jacob von Doom was only one year older than him.

The only person who knew about his where abouts was Admiral Zephyr. Other colleagues and friends only knew that he quit marines for love. Then he had gotten married and moved to somewhere in one of the Blue's.

Victor knew that very soon the news of an entire village's massacre would spread and somehow would reach Zephyr's ears. And knowing Zephyr's personality from the 'One Piece film Z' he saw in his previous life; he was sure that Zephyr would investigate what happened here.

According to the journal, Von Doom had given his cousin Zephyr the news of him expecting a son. And fortunately for Victor, the journal did not mention Zephyr ever coming to see them, it only mention communicating via 'Transponder Snail' about him before his birth. Most of their communication was about Zephyr telling him about his life, his no kill policy and feelings after Zephyr's family incident. It was as if Von Doom was Zephyr's psychologist.

Reading more into the journal, Victor realized that Von Doom was one of the few people Zephyr had contact with for closure. After his family's death, they had a very, very brotherly relationship. Albeit only via Transponder Snail. Being the only living relative, Zephyr loved him a lot and turned out to be the reason he never visited the island. He did not want another tragedy because of his identity as a marine admiral.

All things considering, Victor had no doubt that Zephyr would find out the fabricated clues he had left and would start searching for Von Doom's son to take him under his wing.

Now, victor's plan is to spread Von Doom's name as a bounty hunter and wait for Zephyr's arrival. Of course, this would be some time later. And at the same time spread the name of another, more notorious and a ruthless bounty hunters name, which he plans to use later in the future as the antagonist to his marine identity.

And so, for the next two years, Victor scheduled an occasional appearance of both of his identities to the South-Blue and Grand-Line, to his schedule. Victor Von Doom, a boy around the age of 15 would sometimes bring heads of some pirates to marine branches to claim bounty. He first started with low level pirates of bounties less than 500,000, and only after a year, he started bringing heads of pirates more than a million. However, the highest never exceeded two million. Afterall, what he wanted was to leave small clues, and not attract unwanted attention.

The other identity is of the ruthless pirate hunter that started appearing in the grand line first half. He would be wearing an all matt-black suit with a black cape, looking like a menacing supervillain. He would every now and then bring heads of pirates with bounties of over 10 million to 90 million. There was even a nickname for him, 'The Boogeyman.' Of course, Victor arranged this to happen. He liked the name and he loved John Wick.

His training also went smoothly as he had now conquered the entire island and even defeated the strongest creature there. It had a power level of over 37,000, and back then, it took everything out of Victor to defeat the animal. He did not kill it and had battled with it more until it became unchallenging. The animal later started to run away as soon as he got the wind of victor's presence.

In addition to gravity room training, Victor had been experiencing actual combat with animals, some pirates of the grand line, as well as South-Blue. Now his physique power had reached an astonishing 51,684, and he was very satisfied. After all, this was purely from the One-Piece world physique and its World Energy — Haki.

At the same time, his standard power level now was at 71,689. This was when he would tap in to the Saiyan traits and pure energy.

According to Jaya, he would be far stronger than any other Saiyan with the same standard power level. Because his physique was much, much tougher than them.

Moreover, he had also improved his mastery of dual Haki techniques. In Armament Haki, he had mastered Hardening, Imbuement and even Emission. Once his body met the physique requirements, it wasn't difficult for him as he already had mastered the knowledge.

One thing he did noticed then was, Jaya's scanning does not get picked up by other people's intuition, unlike using Observation Haki for strength sensing. This was proven when he used Jaya to measure Sengoku's combat power level. He knew that if he had used his Observation Haki, Sengoku would have picked up on that immediately.

His Observation Haki had also shown great progress in the past years. Presence sensing, strength sensing, and precognitive abilities had greatly improved making Victor more capable while engaged in combat. However, he had still not touched the realm of 'Future Vision,' no matter how hard he had struggled.

Of course, he did not think his power level of 71,689 was much. A few years back, when he was eating in a restaurant at Sabaody Archipelago, he caught sight of marine admiral Sengoku. Jaya gave multiple warning alerts to be cautious displaying Sengoku's power level with 102,000.

Victor knew that his physical strength now was at typical Marine Vice Admiral level without the Saiyan perks like the use of pure energy or Oozaru transformation. But this something he would keep as a trump card. He would not show his Saiyan capabilities to anyone. At least not in his Von Doom identity.

But at the same time, he knew that there were no short cuts to growing strength. Whenever he thought about how Monkey D Luffy grew from a typical pirate to a Yonko level powerhouse in just a couple of years, his rational thinking broke down blaming the protagonist luck and cursed for not giving him the same.

It has been almost a decade since he had arrived at this planet, and almost every day was spent on training. Either actual combat or using sophisticated equipment's that were not even available in this world, for improving his physique.

None the less, he was gratified. This was not a world of fiction for him now. This was his life. With all that he had at disposal, he had full confidence of him surpassing the highest powerhouse in this world in the future.
