Chapter 18: Baron's Jealousy

Baron's POV:

There were quite many beautiful women at the banquet. They were all dressed beautifully, had fashionable hairstyles, and wore beautiful lipstick. They were all chatting and laughing with each other. The place was filled with young men who didn't have a mate yet. I scanned the surroundings but didn't see any sign of Matilda.

I felt a little disappointed and relieved.

"Oh, I hope I can find my mate here." Alan swirled his wine glass and looked at the girl laughing beside him.

"Are you serious? This is the Stan Pack." I looked at Alan's face, trying to see if he was joking.

"So what? I don't mind. I only hope that my future mate can communicate with me."

I looked at Alan in disbelief, as if this was the first time I had met him. I didn't expect that he wouldn't care about his future mate's identity at all.
