Chapter 5: Meeting The Cullen Family
MC POV -
Carlisle and Edward didn't slow down once to make sure if I was following them back to their home, but I kept up with them just fine. Their home wasn't that far from my home, but I knew for sure that if I was a regular human, it would have taken way longer to get there.
Once we made it, their whole family was waiting outside, and they were all staring at me. It was uncomfortable being stared at by vampires that had lived for hundreds of years but whatever. Carlisle looked back at me and introduced me to his family.
Carlisle - Guys, this is Reina she has agreed to stay here and live with us for as long as we will have her.
"Nice to meet you all," I said while waving at them.
The first one to wave back and introduce themselves was Esme. She smiled at me and waved me inside with all the others. After we were all inside and seated in the living room, Alice introduced herself, and the rest of them followed as well.
Esme - So now that we all know you, do you think you can tell us a little bit about yourself. I mean, if you don't mind, of course, it's just that none of us have ever met anything like you before.
"Oh, it's fine. What would you like to know, Mrs Cullen. I probably won't be able to tell you everything. It depends on what you want to know."
Esme - Ok, umm ..... do you have a family?
"No, I don't. Sadly, they all died a long time ago. I don't have any relatives either, so as far as I know, I'm the last of my kind." I said with a sad face to keep up the act.
Esme - I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure it was hard to be all by yourself.
"A little, but I've always lived in the wilderness, so I'm used to it. Any other questions?"
Jasper - Not trying to be rude, but what are you.
Alice - Jasper!!! You can't ask her that, It's rude.
Jasper - That's why I said, "I'm not trying to be rude."
"It's fine, Alice. I don't mind answering, I'm a Dark Fey, so I'm kinda like a fairy but bigger and better."
Alice - Ohh, that's so cool. What about powers? Do you have any powers?
"I have a lot actually, like elemental powers, immortality, and shape-shifting. There's more, of course, but I would rather not say all of them."
Carlisle - Immortality ..... interesting, I guess we don't have to worry about you aging then. I should show you to your room. I think that's enough questions for today.
"Ok, I'm actually really tired. I haven't slept in a bed for a while."
Carlisle nodded and led me up to the upper floor where the guest room was. It was in between the shared room of Alice and Jasper and the shared room of him and Esme. It was also right across from Edward's room, but I tried not to think of all this so I could finally go to bed.
Next Morning: MC POV -
I woke up feeling very rejuvenated. Who knew sleeping in a bed was so comfortable. I got out of bed to see if anyone was home, and only Rosalie and Alice were. I was fine talking to Alice it's just that Rosalie is only nice to people that she trusts, and even then, it takes a while to get in her good graces.
"Good morning. Where is everyone else?"
Alice - They just went out to go restock on some blood. Me and Rosalie didn't want to go out today since we're not going to school today.
Rosalie - What she means is we didn't go so we could keep an eye on you. Carlisle might trust you, but I don't, at least not yet. Maybe you don't mean any harm, but just in case.
"Well, I don't care if you're here to watch me, but is there any food here for humans? I may be immortal, but I still need to eat."
Alice - Sorry, there isn't. We can take you out to the grocery store and get some food right now if you want, right, Rosalie?
Rosalie - Yeah, let's go, but try not to stay around us too much. We're not sure if we're going to act like you're our adopted sibling, or you're just a new student in Forks that we don't know.
"Alright, I'll walk in first after you give me a way to pay, and you both can just follow me around from a distance. Is that good with both of you?"
Alice - Yeah, that's good. Here, it has enough money, so just get whatever you want.
"Thanks, let's go now. One of you can drive, right?"
Alice - We both can, but Rosalie is going to drive us there.
"Ok," I said. 'I wonder if the store has any mac and cheese, I'm in the mood for some comfort food right about now.'
After The Grocery Store: MC POV -
As we were driving back to the house, I saw Charlie's police car out of the corner of my eye. 'I think he's getting ready to pull someone over.' I thought, not really paying it any mind, but as I faced forward, I realized how fast we were going.
"Rosalie, slow down!!! We're going to get pulled over!!"
It was already too late, though, because the sirens were already on and he was right behind us.
Rosalie - Great, just great.
She pulled to the side of the road, and Charlie came over to us.
Charlie - Young lady, do you have any idea how fast you were going?
Rosalie - I'm sorry, sir. I didn't realize until it was too late, and I was in a rush to get home.
Charlie - I'll let you off with a warning since I know your father is a good man. Just be careful next time.
Rosalie - Alright, thank you. Have a good day.
Charlie - You too
As we we were driving away, I was trying not to laugh at Rosalie since it was so obvious how blatantly annoyed she was because of Charlie. 'It looked like she wanted to murder him. How did he not realize the look she was giving him?' I thought, knowing that I was going to have a good time with this family, hopefully anyway.
