Chapter 142: Finding The Right Way

"My daughter.." the man took a deep breath as if his voice was getting choked, "my daughter has had some defect in walking since childhood when she had fallen from the hill." 

Baron could see the hurt and pain in the eyes of viscount. He paused and took out a small portrait from his pocket.

It has him, an elder woman, a young boy and a young girl.

"This is my daughter Jane, isn't she pretty?" he asked with a chuckle when the baron nodded instantly but it was not out of consideration.

The girl was really pretty with a fair face and bright smile. Her golden hair shone and her bluish eyes looked tender. She had a warm look on his face just like her father that calmed the hearts of others.
