Chapter 17: Prime elder

But what he saw shocked him!!

The night was still dark and silent as expected, but what surprised Adriel was that he wasn't alone.

Right there and then in front of him were two figures standing so close to him, they stood closely at both sides of his bed that their bodies were almost touching Adriel, he felt like he was seeing an illusion.

One of these figures was someone Adriel knew very well: the ice block Fan Linxu and the other person was a white-haired old man dressed in pink pajamas leaning on the wall but for some reason, Adriel felt like the guy was in another space.

Surprised and bewildered about why Fan linxu was with a weird old guy in his room this late in the night Adriel glanced at Fan linxu with a questioning look.

Fan Linxu answered with a question of her own.

"Hey, why were you staring in a daze, do you know how long I have been calling you?" she asked with a frown.

Adriel smiled a bitter smile. How could I answer you when I was in another astral dimension?.

Of course, he didn't dare say it out loud seeing the apprehensive expression on Fan Linxu's face, it looked like he frightened her this time when he didn't reply for long.

"Sorry...I didn't hear you call is everything okay" Adriel said while scratching his head.

Fan linxu slapped his head when she heard that: "okay your head!, do you know how long I've been calling you and you were just staring at the wall like a dunzo" her voice was as brittle as the first ice of autumn.

It was then the Old man finally spoke up but he didn't answer Adriel instead he asked: "little one did you just go to the nine celestial beast stairways? Did you become a beast master"

Adriel was taken aback by his question, he was so sure he didn't tell anyone about connecting to the nine celestial beasts step even Fan Linxu, so how did this old guy figure it out?

Adriel didn't deny it though and simply said " yes I did and yes I became a beast master after I transcended my last tribulation "

Even though the Old man had more or less guessed it when he felt a ripple in space around this area a while ago he wasn't completely sure, but now that he heard Adriel's confirmation he couldn't help but be excited when he heard Adriels reply and his joy filled his heart.

' The heavens have truly not forgotten my Skyfall sect! Another genius appeared' The old man happily thought.

As for Fan Linxu she wasn't so surprised after all she knew he could access the celestial stairways anytime it was just a matter of time.

The old man quickly said: "hurry up and show me your martial soul beast!"

Then He released his beast tamer space and a turquoise chaos wisp phantom the size of a basketball appeared beside him.

'Isn't this martial soul beast a bit too unremarkable' Fan linxu and the prime Elder Duo thought after seeing the blue soul beast made entirely of energy floating beside Adriel?

"So What you think" ignoring of the weird expressions on their faces, Adriel asked with a smile, he was more than satisfied with the chaos beast.

The old man recovered from his daze and awkwardly said: "Ahem, your soul beast appearance is a little too we... Ahem... Let's just say it's not what I was expecting"

Adriel smiled and then asked: " what were you expecting?"

Of course, the Prime elder didn't say that to not disturb Adriels confidence, he shrugged his shoulders and then said "well it doesn't matter what martial soul beast you have, all that matters is that having one will improve your development of your beast master rank at a rate far beyond ordinary beast master without a marital bear soul would"

Adriel nodded in agreement and didn't say anything.

Prime elder Ooxi continued: "Anyways now that I've confirmed you are a beast master, let me inform you of the real reason I'm here"
