"So what happened to you?" she asked again wanting to know what transpired to leave me with a semi broken head. 

I explained everything to her wiping a tear which had just squeezed past my eyes. 

Many of our neighbors were now chatting outside, while others were confused about what was going on. Those who were bold came knocking on the door only to see if truly he had visited our house and on what grounds did he visit our house.

"Thank God you are safe my daughter, but why did you tell me it wasn't something serious last night? I can see you can barely even walk?" To announced. 

It is true I owe you an explanation coupled with an apology. 

"I lied her. I did not want you to start panicking while rushing left and right. Also you told me business was bad last night so it would have been a double expenditure for you to start coming there coupled with the fact that it was late. I am sorry about lying to you," I apologized.
