Chapter 77: The Lake, the Spider Queen, and the Tent

A smile was on Megan's face when she was watching Darius pack for their overnight camping trip to the mountains. She heard it from Millicent that Coen and the boys choke up the wine bottles that they stole from Madeleine's room. Even if they were allowed to maltreat Mabel for the worse reasons, they were punished for breaking into a VIP room and stealing from it.

It didn't help that the punishment for that was heavier than cleaning the yard for endangering the children of the pack. It was safe to say that Megan was happy that Coen got what he deserved.

As for Darius, he only left Nicholai to do his own thing. The cryptic messages were not something he enjoyed solving, and he didn't feel appeased by Nicholai's words, either. However, they were going out on a trip. The least he could do was not to let it plague his mind, so the children would enjoy the night.
