Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Banquet Confessions

I had been nervously fixing my hair in the restroom of the Red Moon banquet hall. Maddie had braided it like a crown around the sides, and I had still had long, flowing tresses down my back.

Maddie applied a hot pink lipstick on her plump lips, and I fixed the small straps of my lavender dress.

We were both dressed in tight, knee-length cocktail dresses in were shades of purple. The purple represented the bonding of the two packs; red and blue made purple, and we were Blue Sky ladies on dates with Red Moon men.

Two Red Moon ladies, a blonde and brunette, finished drying their hands and touching up their makeup beside us. They were wearing crimson dresses and had the bodies of tall warriors.

They glanced down their noses at me and Maddie when they walked out, whispered something, then cackled to themselves.
