Treech walked forward and Prince followed behind him. They both kept themselves cloaked in [Perfect Unknowable].
Prince was confused about why his sensei would want this... man to be their third member. In his eyes, the guy was childish and annoying. But perhaps he could ask his sensei a moment later when they were alone. It wasn't like it was guaranteed that he would join them.
Treech canceled their spell and made themselves known to Jet-Black Wings, by appearing in front of him a few meters away from him.
"Hello there," Treech said with a relaxed tone.
JBWings halted his looting of the items and looked at both of them.
"Oho, did the sealed demon dragon miss some? And who are you both supposed to..." He got halfway through his sentence before his hands started shaking with excitement as he read Treech and Prince's names off his HUD.
"It's you!! [Dark Reunion]! Kukuku" The man held his hand over his face.
"Yes nice to meet you Wings-san. We are not with those PKers you took care of earlier." Treech explained.
"Hmm? What do you mean? I didn't take care of them earlier." The man said in a genuinely confused manner.
"Oh? Then what happened?" Treech was curious how this guy would respond.
"Kuku, I felt it. The demon genocide dragon in my right arm escaped its seal, only for a few moments. Those fools! They couldn't have just let me go. Ever since I reincarnated here I've resolved to seal myself into a mortal. Repressing myself to merely 1% of my true power. And because of this, the demon genocide dragon god is able to escape my bodily seal at moments of my distraction." Jet-Black Wings clutched his hand dramatically over his arm. He continued to talk about his backstory, but Treech ignored it for now.
'Kid, I need to test something. Can you try to break his delusion for a moment?' Treech sent Prince a [Message].
'Understood, sensei!' Prince replied.
"Hey uncle, why do you pretend there is a dragon god in your right arm? It's not real." Prince immediately said without anything held back.
"U-uncle? I'm 16 years old!! Wha- no you have to believe me... it's real... I promise it's all real..." Jet-Black Wings started to hold his head again muttering to himself.
"Okay! Kid, don't question him. He is telling the truth." Treech responded in defense.
He wanted to probe a few things as this guy's situation didn't seem right. How would a normal 8th-grader syndrome person act after you broke them out of their delusion? Of course, they would act embarrassed or ignore you. But this guy... it seemed like he was trying to keep himself mentally stable.
"Yes. Yes! Kukuku, Treech, and I have fought many battles before in our past lives. I knew he could recognize me, his old master even when I was in this weak mortal body." Jet-Black Wings said back as he recovered himself.
Treech didn't really care about that remark, but Prince got really annoyed.
"Sensei..." Prince clutched his fists.
"Forget it, kid. " Treech waved his hand, dismissing his concerns.
"Right. I had a few things to confirm with you." Treech continued to Jet-Black Wings.
"Yes, I also wanted to talk with you." He nodded.
"Right, first I wanted to ask about the gear you have. Where did you get it?" Treech asked.
Jet-Black Wings puffed up his chest in pride. His voice cracked a little at the praise. "A-ah, I see you also recognize the good taste. Mhm, I got it from the cash shop."
Treech nodded his head as if he expect it. But Prince was annoyed again, why did this guy have such a punchable face to him? He clenched and unclenched his hands.
"That's great. Any other items that are interesting?" Treech continued.
"Hmm." Jet-Black Wings thought for a moment before pulling out a strange set of steampunk glasses. They had golden and bronze gears all over them and multiple magnifying glasses/type lenses that could be moved in front of the main pair of lenses. Treech nodded his head.
'As I expected. He did have one.'

Narn-yurn
[Item tier]: World Item
Description: It is a pair of goggles that reveals secrets. The reading glass. A world-class item that looks like a set of steampunk goggles. It has runes etched into its gears and glass lenses. It describes possible hidden attributes or uses for items, classes, or quests. It can change the fabric of reality to force unusable things, to gain use.
It costs experience to use and will disappear after use. Reappearing in a random location in Yggdrasil.
========***++++***========
Treech read the description and he was feeling a bit overwhelmed. This item, wasn't this a little too good? He was especially attracted to the fact that it could only be used once.
Later in Yggdrasil, this item would be known as one of the 20. The most powerful items in Yggdrasil.
Treech looked back at Jet-Black Wings from his HUD description of the item.
"How... did you get this World Class Item?" Treech asked with a bit of confusion.
He didn't think someone who he guessed had a split personality disorder to randomly stumble upon this thing. If he understood its use correctly, it would be far stronger than any Word-Class Item he had come across yet.
"Hmm, the developers gave it to me." Jet-Black Wings said thoughtfully.
""Huh?"" Both Prince and Treech exclaimed at the same time. It was completely absurd.
"Yes, they said because I spent so much in the Cash Shop they were afraid they would offend someone if they didn't offer something, Kukuku" The man held his hand over his face again.
"How much did you spend?" Prince asked.
"3.2 Million dollars" Jet-Black Wings responded.
Both Treech and Prince breathed in heavily. That was a heck of a lot of money to spend in the cash shop. Did he spend that on the Gachapon? No wonder the developers were scared.
"And it was your money?" Treech asked to confirm.
"Yes, it was mine. I am retired now. I used to... I used to... Ugh, my head" The man held his head as he tried to remember.
"Ah I don't remember, I am retired now that's all that matters, kukuku" He responded as he recovered.
"I see," Treech said.
'He fits all my requirements and solves the clan's problem of funding, Good DPS, and he would keep things interesting for me. Perhaps I could feel thrilled in my heart more often. If my theory is correct, this poor guy is stuck like this as some kind of survival mechanism. I am not certain since I didn't study psychology, however, it seems that there are off topics with him. One being we can't address that his delusions are not real. Two being his job. Hmm, perhaps the only requirement I need to know is if he can still fight like before.' Treech organized his thoughts.
"Wings, can you work with your 'demon genocide dragon god' during battle?" Treech asked his final question.
"Kukuku, of course, he must obey me. He's been sealed for so long that he can only watch on helplessly. The utter fool." Jet-Black Wings nodded confidently.
'That settles it.'
"Wings, I want you to join my Clan, but we need funding so I hope you don't mind helping us out when we need it," Treech asked.
Jet-Black Wings froze for a few seconds to process some things. Then he replied with a very happy voice.
"Okay! Okay! Nobody has asked me to join them before. But... we need to remake the name. Something cooler." Jet-Black Wings said as he started thinking of new names.
"How about we convert the clan to a guild after we capture a dungeon territory? " Treech sighed mentally at what kind of names he might come up with.
"That sounds good, kukuku, And so once again, teacher, disciple, and grand-disciple all walk on the path to the peak. " Wings started to narrate some super cringe stuff about their origins.
Prince was annoyed that he was being called a grand disciple to Wings. He was gonna fight him later when his sensei wasn't around and let him know who was learning from whom.
Suddenly an announcement appeared on their HUDs, all of them stopped in their tracks but Treech especially was significantly concerned at the ramifications of it.
The devs were issuing an update.
