Chapter 70: Want a hug?

"Jacques…" Luca stood by the chapel entrance where the funeral was taking place. Her eyes softened, watching Jacques weep on the side while another woman was consoling her. 

After Jacques called her, Luca rushed to the hospital where the funeral would be held. Her manager didn't give her the details, because she was crying a lot. Thus, Luca only told her she would just go there. Luca didn't even shower and only changed her clothes. 

Fortunately, Adam offered to drive her to this place. He didn't accompany her, though, and stayed behind the parking space with Nova. Still, on the way, Luca received a call from Maddison, giving her the general details of what happened. 

According to Maddison, while Frank — Jacques' fiance — was on his way to a meeting, a truck lost its brakes, crashing into multiple cars. At least three people died, and unfortunately, Frank was one of them. His death was so abrupt that everyone was shocked, and Jacques was devastated.
