Chapter 69: He's gone

"Baddie, check on Jacques once I reach home." Luca was leaning languidly on the side of the van with her legs resting over the other. "She left in a hurry and I want to know what's up with her."

"Okay." 

Luca glanced at Maddison, and she could tell this woman was truly good at disguise. Or perhaps Maddison was just like this. Apparently, even though Luca had an idea that Maddison was part of the Fourth, she didn't know what Maddison was like beforehand. All the messages she had with Maddison were formal and straight to the point. 

One thing that Luca could tell about her was that Maddison was efficient in her work. Luca would ask something, and Maddison would give results.
