Chapter 23: Chapter 23

Cataleya saw that the duke snapped his palms closed and the cracks disappeared from the ground right after. 

Turning to the Briston's knights, the duke instructed something to them. Those young knights then trekked the inside of woodlands in haste, with their weapons ready on their grip.

Cataleya got out the carriage after she was allowed by the marquis. Honestly, she felt like a pampered princess who needs constant protection at this rate. 

As she got off, the first thing she saw was her brother who had a cloth wrapped tightly around his shoulder. The marquis said that his son wasn't injured that much when in fact, the arrow was a lot closer to his heart. 

"Are you alright?" Cataleya asked to Cxenon.

Cxenon watched her closely as if looking for any injury on her to.

"I'm fine." She said, seeing the look of her brother. She wondered why he had to be awfully obvious of his emotion on his face.
